This place is usually on point when it comes to the bowls. This particular day was not the case. The rice was overcooked and very much mushy. I could barely mix my meat up in the rice. I damn near bent the fork back trying to get the rice. The steak was not seasoned or cooked to my liking. I thought the sauce would help, but it did not. I just ended up throwing it away. All in all I would still try them again.

The full dining experience at Seasons of Japan can only be described as conflicting. For starters, the food works. Aside from the fact that the chicken was a little too slimy for my taste and felt like a cannonball in my stomach, it was worth the price. The service was good enough, the cashier felt quite relatable when describing the fatigue she had accumulated over the course of her long shift, and my food was delivered quickly. So far, this restaurant sounds nice to the inexperienced, but now we have arrived at the segment of the review where I describe the atmosphere. The sheer polarity between the main dining area and the tucked away bathroom corner is profound. When eating your food, you are treated with slow jazz, nice plants, and comfortable seating. However, the hospitality fades when you approach the bathroom. The restroom is tucked away past a dark and musty hallway, the music cuts away and is replaced by the repetitive, unsettling beeping noise from a foreboding machine. I was naive to believe that my experience in the bathroom would go uninterrupted. A man knocked on the door multiple times despite me announcing my presence. I felt surrounded, powerless, and afraid. If I hadn’t just used the bathroom, I probably would have pissed my pants in fear.

Literally just went in to grab 3 cups of ginger sauce because the person that picked up my food forgot to get it paid for 3 cups just for the Asian lady with Black hair to approach the counter when she was all the way in the kitchen just to tell me I need to show a receipt or I can’t get it until the cashier told her I paid for it. This is the second encounter I had with her I won’t be coming back. She’s so aggressive for no reason if she’s a cook, she needs to stay in the kitchen. Or learn how to talk to people I wouldn’t even waste your time going to this location just go to the one near the mall better customer service !!!

Cashier didn’t ring up the right order. While I do understand that employees are tired- they should ensure to repeat the order so there’s no confusion. Additionally, the two people who answered the phone call regarding the issue were non-friendly and did not even apologize for the issue.
I did not want to believe the reviews that were given to this restaurant, but unfortunately I would have to agree that this restaurant does not value friendliness and or customer money. Hopefully, they learn to improve, but given these times it seems unlikely and might have to look into other Japanese oriented restaurant.

If team members paid attention and wasn’t playing and goofing off then maybe orders would be correct. I sat in drive thru and waste 20 mins waiting for my food for it be wrong and go inside and still be wrong. Team members yelling and playing at the window is probably the reason they have a 88 from health department. Won’t return.

Came here for lunch on 7/3/25 awful awful awful!!! Cashier no personality… leaning on counter top looking at phone. Drive through girl more worried about her makeup and being on her phone sitting with one AirPod in… monster roll was burnt!!! Didn’t even enjoy our food. Spent almost $50 for this crap. Tables were sticky nobody cleaning the lobby where dust bunnies and dirt are carpet as you walk in looks dirty. Waited almost 30 min for our food… and people who got there after us got their food first about 8 people came in after us. This location is a joke… and I wouldn’t be surprised if we got sick. Management needs to come into this location and see what’s really going on. Pretty sure if we called the health department on them it would be a real wakeup call.
Statesboro location is the best hands down! Always clean and never had any issues.

I love Seasons of Japan, but this location is AWFUL. First of all, it looks SO dirty. It’s not clean or kept up with at all inside. It was very hot in there and very humid. It smelled musty and unclean. The person who took our order was super rude and unfriendly. After ordering, we didnt even eat it. We acrually threw it away and went elsewhere. Maybe we caught it on a really bad week but…I wouldn’t feel comfortable eating food from this location. I love their food/ other locations though!
