I had two disappointing visits here I went through the drive through yesterday and ordered a teriyaki chicken bowl with no rice add vegetables. I drove all the way home and found out I had steak shrimp chicken with rice so I called and spoke to the manager J and he told me he would replace it so I came by today to pick up my order, I drove all the way home And instead of teriyaki chicken with vegetables. I got teriyaki chicken and rice and no vegetables so two times my order was wrong two times I wasted my time. It’s a little aggravating to have to try and check your meal before you leave. I guess I should have.

I’ve been coming here for 8 years, and ordering the same meal literally for 8 years, tonight the cashier tells me “you can’t order it like that” with an attitude, and then after I placed my order he goes in the kitchen to talk trash about me explaining how I’ve been ordering the same meal for years. I definitely won’t be back, after all these years coming here. There’s so many options to eat in Pooler, and honestly the service industry in whole is beyond sad.

Visited here on Sunday afternoon. The person at the register was kind. But that’s where it went south. We waited about 30 minutes and the order was not hot but warm. Then, they forgot a part of the order and it too was just warm. I was very disappointed in this restaurant because I absolutely love Asian food. I don’t think I’ll be coming back here. Sorry, but I do not recommend this restaurant.

Never had a problem with the food, they just priced me out over the years. $16 for a bowl now!? No drink or anything. I can get a nice hot meal, with drink and unlimited rolls at texas roadhouse for $20. Places like this cant compare but are similar in pricing They are now on the list of places that i’ve “outgrown” lol.

We came here for a lunch date. This hibachi location is pricey for the food, although it’s a decent portion. My food was okay; it could’ve been a lot better if it had been warm/hot throughout. Pieces of my shrimp and steak were cold. Both our vegetables were fairly cold. It was as if my food was sitting and re-served. We had to wait on the lobster rolls, but we didn’t really like them, either. Most of the tables needed to be cleaned as well, not busy when we arrived. Restaurant has the potential to be better.

When dark times come in life, never lose hope something will pull you out of it. The tenderness of the steak in my express bowl with lomein single handledly reminded me of the love and beauty in the world. The cashier, despite working alone, worked hard to provide beautiful and polite service. When I went back up during my meal to get a water cup, one of the handsome, daring kitchen staff members stepped up to aid her. My heart is full of this steak lomein magic ❤️

I am mortified at how myself and my husband was treated at the drive thru on Sunday night 12/14/2025 @ 6:03est.We noticed cars ahead of us went to the first window to order. So quite naturally we did the same. But the cashier opened the window and said why didn’t you order at the back window. My husband replied the other cars didn’t so we assumed we needed to order at the window. She then stated how long has y’all been in pooler and not know to order at the first window. I leaned over my husband and stated how is that relevant? She then asked a few more times you love her and not knowing to order at the first window? When we stop responding, she then let us place an order and pay, then she said pull towards the back and wait they will bring it out. at this time we was already in line over 20 min. My husband was polite and said ok thank you. we pulled towards the back and waited another 15min. My husband pulled around front and our food was ready just sitting. We have been eating from this location over 7 years and never encountered this type of treatment. I called and left a message for the manager and yesterday and still no response back. I really hope that cashier receives extra customer service skills because she was rude and out of line with her questioning.

This place brings the hibachi experience quick and yummy. I was not familiar with the menu but a kind and patient Stephanie helped me through my order. Great spot to get the japanese habachi experience on the go. Nice clean restaurant and nice employees.

The steak was impeccable and tender 9/10. The SOJ sauce didn’t really have flavor nor did any of the food. I’ve been hearing about this place so I decided to see what the hype was about. My experience i rate SOJ a 7/10…All I can say is you try it and review for yourself. Me personally this is not a place I would really recommend.
