Traveling Through
The staff was lovely, the decor beautiful, and the croissants were phenomenal. All that said, the crowd was intense. There was barely room to breathe let alone move but since the line progressed quickly we decided to stay long enough to get croissants. We skipped coffee since it was at least a 20 min wait (according to the person who took our order). If you go, and I recommend you do (at least once), be aware that they may be very busy and crowded. The quality of the bread is worth it.

Brand new place just opened and it’s INCREDIBLE! The coffee was delicious and they had a large amount of seasonal lattes and drinks. The sourdough bread was delicious and all the bakery items looked tasty.

The aesthetic of the entire shop was perfection and obviously very intentional with their styles.

Strongly recommend and will be back for sure!

I was dying to try this place and I finally did it! I went there right before morning rush, so I didn’t have to wait to order too long. Pastry was tasty and good size!! My drink order came way later than my food order, but it’s understandable due to the big crowds staff had to deal with. Staff were kind and friendly. I wished there were more space between cashiers and coffee machine as it got very loud with customers voices, background music, and sound of coffee machine. I couldn’t hear what a cashier said and she didn’t hear me either at times. Otherwise, this is a great option in downtown and I’m planning to visit here whenever I’m in town!

This is SUCH a great spot. The food (every single thing in our group) was incredible and fresh and fun. The almost croissant The ambiance was delightful—we sat at the long table in the back room. They have the cutest gift shop with locally sourced goods as well. Will definitely be back!!

9/18/25 Had our first visit to Seasons Bakery & Cafe on opening day at their new, permanent location. Needless to say it was a wonderful experience, a warm ambiance, & a delicious gluten free blueberry muffin. The fresh decaf Americano was the best I’ve ever had. Congratulations!

You know around Christmas time when you’re watching a Hallmark movie, and everything just feels a little too good to be true? The hometown girl comes back, she walks into the bakery, and somehow the air sparkles, the bread smells like joy, and every single person is smiling like they just won the lottery? Well, that’s Seasons Bakery. Except… it’s real. And it’s times ten.
The atmosphere is magical, cozy, inviting, the kind of place where you suddenly consider becoming a novelist just so you can sit in the corner and brood over a pastry. The staff? Honestly, they deserve their own Hallmark spin-off. They remember faces, they care about every customer like you’re their favorite cousin, and they somehow make “just getting a coffee” feel like an event.
And the food? To die for. Like, if croissants were currency, I would be broke in a week. Everything they make has that rare combination of comfort + craftsmanship, like your grandma learned French baking and decided to spoil you forever.
Bottom line: Seasons Bakery isn’t just a bakery. It’s an experience. It’s the main character energy your hometown never knew it needed.

Also PS-
I’ve been up and down 81 searching for a coffee shop that knows how to make a true Cortado. Staunton- nope, waynesboro- nope, Lexington- bingo

Incredible food, fun atmosphere, and great location. I would give this place 100 stars if I could, but I guess I’ll have to settle for 5/5 stars.

We own a home in Rockbridge County, VA and were visiting when we stopped by The Seasons Bakery & Café around 1:45 PM. There was a line, but it was not clear where or how to order, or whether the café was full service or counter service. We took menus and waited, unaware that the kitchen closed at 2:00 PM.

When we reached the counter at 2:01, our group of seven was told we could not order food. I understand the need to close the kitchen on time, but it would have been helpful if customers already in line had been informed, or if someone had been directing guests and communicating that the kitchen was about to close.

This included three children and four adults, and we were also hosting three visitors from Europe. The lack of clear communication made the experience underwhelming. Better signage or staff guidance would have gone a long way toward setting expectations and improving the customer experience.

I grew up owning and managing fine dining establishments, where clear communication and guest experience were always priorities. The situation felt similar to being in line at a bank only to have the teller window close once you reached the front. Food was still being sent out from the kitchen at the time, which added to the confusion.
