Season’s at Highland Lake is an absolute delight! Our server was outstanding — attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. The food was fantastic, full of fresh flavors and perfectly prepared. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a great meal. And the Sunday brunch all-you-can-eat? Simply incredible! If you leave here hungry, it’s entirely your fault — there’s something delicious for everyone. This place is a must-visit!

Wonderful restaurant right next to our suite, we stayed at Highland. Live music was good, our waitress TJ was great. We did the trout super yum and the table side bread is a must! The whiskey sours was delish. It was my boyfriend’s birthday and we left happy.

On a recent visit to Hendersonville, we had dinner at Season’s at Highland Lake and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The food and service were top-notch. I ordered the halibut, which was cooked to perfection, and my two guests enjoyed the steak, both of which they said were amazing. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making for a fun and memorable night out. I’ll definitely return the next time I’m in the area and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious meal in Hendersonville.

Brunch with a View, But Light on Flavor

We made the Sunday drive from Greenville with high hopes and brunch sized appetites, pulling into Seasons at Highland Lake about an hour or two before the buffet closed. The setting was serene, and it was odd that we were the only people there, but staff mentioned we’d just missed the rush and that this was their slow season.

Atmosphere wise, it’s a winner. Nestled in a secluded hotel lodge like setting, it feels like part of a mountain retreat. A live guitarist played soft tunes and took requests, adding to the relaxed, upscale vibe. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to unplug and stay for the weekend.

Unfortunately, the food didn’t match the mood, or the name. Everything looked beautifully presented and artfully arranged, but almost all of it fell flat in flavor. It’s like they used all the seasoning on naming the restaurant. There’s no shortage of options on the buffet, and you might find a few things you like, but don’t expect anything memorable. None of the dishes are worth mentioning though, please explore yourself.

A lovely setting for a quiet morning, but not a destination brunch spot when it comes to the food. Let’s hope the next season brings a bit more spice. I hope to be back and give it another try.

We were in town to enjoy the season change and celebrate my husband’s birthday. While deciding where to have dinner we fell on Season’s at Highland Lake and have no regrets. Dinner was impeccable and memorable!! We are going to make Seasons a staple when visiting the area and consider staying on the property next visit.

This was our first visit to this restaurant. It is less than 5 minutes from the Flat Rock Playhouse making it a convenient location for dinner and a show afterwards.

The atmosphere was quiet although they had a guitar player singing light jazzy, old standards, which we really enjoyed. Service was extremely attentive, and just the right pace.

The food was excellent. My wife requires gluten free prep and they brought her a separate menu which was nicely varied. We shared an heirloom tomato and burrata caprese salad that they split onto separate plates. My wife had a seared salmon dish with risotto and I had a tomahawk pork chop with linguini. Both entrees were plated beautifully and were delicious.

This is an awesome restaurant! It is very charming but not stuffy or old fashioned. It’s a great destination restaurant. They do except reservation which makes planning a night out on the weekend easier.
The food is fresh and tasty with modern twists. The cook is phenomenal! Service is fast and friendly without being overbearing. They offer a nice selection of wines and a full bar. We had the trout and the steak. Both were excellent. We had creme brulee and a key lime tart for dessert – again both excellent.
We will definitely be back to this wonderful restaurant.

Lovely menu, not as perfectly executed- but a holiday buffet is challenging. Composed salads were nice. Lamb a bit overwhelmed with too much sauce. Fish with skin in sauce not a good idea. Otherwise choices were plentiful, good value. We appreciated the guitarist and kind service. Pretty location – a bit old-fashioned despite a more contemporary menu. Lots of older people enjoying a traditional “old school” venue.

We were really looking forward to the Christmas Eve buffet, but it ended up being a big disappointment. For the price and the occasion, the experience fell far short of expectations.

Service was extremely lacking. We had to bus our own table multiple times, our waitress ignored us, and we were never offered coffee or drinks — we had to ask just to get basic service.

The food quality was also poor. The salmon was cold, and other items were not properly maintained. The salad appeared left out and wilted, which was especially disappointing for a holiday buffet.

On Christmas Eve, guests expect a well-run, attentive experience, and this was not it. Overall, it felt disorganized and neglected, and it really took away from what should have been a special evening.
