Reviews
We celebrated a double milestone last night at Seasons 52 in Norwood—my father’s 94th birthday and my stepfather’s 92nd. It turned out to be an excellent choice for a family blowout gathering.
Location & Accessibility
The restaurant is conveniently located in central Norwood, right next to The Capital Grille at Rookwood Pavilion. It’s very popular with the over-60 crowd and for good reason. Valet service is available, but there’s also a large self-park lot (though it fills quickly around peak dining hours, such as 5:30 p.m.). Importantly for our group, the space is completely handicap accessible, making wheelchair access easy.
Private Dining & Atmosphere
We had a small hiccup with our reservation—my wife hadn’t fully completed the private room booking—but the staff handled it gracefully. After a brief 15-minute wait, they seated all 14 of us in a private dining room. This turned out to be perfect for our group with several older guests, as the carpeting and curtains made the acoustics very friendly for those with hearing challenges.
The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated with dark wood and textiles, low lighting, and an elegant, understated style. It feels warm and sophisticated without being stuffy.
Service
The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. Our servers were attentive, efficient, and very pleasant. The manager and chef even came out personally to greet the birthday gentlemen, making them feel special with complimentary desserts. That thoughtful touch went a long way.
Food
The menu is one of Seasons 52’s strongest features. Every entrée is designed to stay under 600 calories, which is kind both to your waistline and your wallet. Between 14 people, we sampled nearly a dozen different dishes, and everything came out beautifully prepared and attractively plated.
Highlights included the sweet potato appetizer, which was especially delicious, and my smoked salmon salad, which was fresh, vibrant, and satisfying. The harvest chicken was another standout—juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection.
Overall
If you’re looking for a centrally located, reasonably priced restaurant where you can take the whole family—including seniors and wheelchair users—Seasons 52 is a terrific choice. The combination of thoughtful service, delicious food, and a comfortable setting made for a memorable evening celebrating two incredible milestones.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5 stars)
Our table was ready right when we got there and Neil was our server.
He made great recommendations, and were so glad he was our server.
Cool thing about Seasons 52 is all their menu items are under 595 calories!
The grilled chicken breast was phenomenal.
The dry rubbed pork chop was awesome!
Old fashioned was excellent and the spiced apple infused bourbon cocktail was delicious.
The truffled risotto was fine, but it did arrive a bit cold and it was a little hard too. Unfortunately, this was my least favorite out of the dishes. The gnocchi tasted wonderful, and I think that the green onions really helped enhance both the taste and texture. As for the dessert, I absolutely loved the Oreo mousse and I think it may be my favorite part of the meal!
Do try this restaurant! Should not disappoint if you love Japanese.
The ambiance was classy yet cozy, perfect for a relaxed evening, and the service was very friendly and attentive. Overall, great food, great vibes, and definitely worth coming back!
