Seahorse is such a good spot. The food is good, the drinks are solid, and everything feels thoughtfully done.

I love the interior warm lighting, beautiful design, and just a great atmosphere overall. It feels stylish but still comfortable and easy to enjoy.

Definitely check out the bar upstairs too, it adds to the whole experience.

We were a large group and the experience could not have been better. We ordered drinks and starters including the Kumamoto Oysters, Tuna Prosciutto, Charred Octopus, Skull Prawns among others. The Oysters were fantastic as were the others. My favorite was the Prawns in this amazing chili sauce. Our mains included Dover Sole, Lobster Cavatelli, Strip Steak, Tuna AuPovire and others. Everything was super fresh and flavorful. The server Brittany was really nice and attentive as were the whole staff. We wrapped up with desserts including the best carrot cake I’ve ever tasted and a delicious chocolate mousse with caramel sauce, both must haves. The atmosphere is really nice too off the lobby of The W Hotel in Union Square. Gorgeous decor and the place was packed but not that noisy. Highly recommend.

Everything was just okay. The clams and the bread service were really good. The salad was too heavily dressed. Chicken and duck entries were okay. My friends who ate here before said most of their seafood wasn’t that great… ironically the meat from the land were better. Nothing too special about this restaurant, a dime a dozen in NYC.

My partner told me that the W hotel in Union Square just got renovations and so that’s a perfect reason for us to go. When you go, there are two bars in this hotel there’s the upstairs bar and the seahorse restaurant now I think I really wanted to go to the upstairs bar however it’s not open every day. It is not open on a Sunday which sucks cause I love going to drinks on Sundays.

The entryway to this beautiful is absolutely stunning. She’s always a seahorse. It’s a beautiful restaurant.

Food – ultimately everything was good. Did anything blow me away no what’s the pricing on the menu a little confusing where you get one oyster for $4.5 and you get another oyster for $15 that’s kind of crazy. The price difference doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. The staff seem to be confused by this too because one person told me it’s three oysters and one person told me it’s one oyster but why does cucumbers make this other oyster triple the price it doesn’t make sense also we ordered oysters, a jumbo shrimp and we had some french fries. The jumbo shrimp was forgotten, which is OK. I’m not a Karen and we asked for it and they did deliver it

The french fries here are my stand out, which is crazy because it’s a seafood place. But that doesn’t mean other things were bad. The fries just had best presentation. They weren’t also super hot fries either. Overall, it’s good to scream about

That being said, I thought the drinks were fantastic. They were strong and they were delicious.

Ambience – this place is beautiful golden glow basket the entire restaurant however it is very loud and my friend almost had a hard time hearing me. This isn’t really something a restaurant can fix. I also arrived last minute just walked in. They were very busy and there was just a couple tables by the bar that they allowed three people to sit out which really made me happy. I appreciate that.

I’ll definitely be back to the W hotel will be back to the seahorse. It is a different question but I still enjoyed my time there.

Excellent seafood restaurant from the team behind Lure Fishbar in SoHo.

The dining room is beautiful and spacious, and a generous size front bar.

The entire staff was friendly and accommodating, we were greeted by everyone.

Drinks were fantastic, great wine options and of course martinis.

The food menu has many options and reasonable prices for the area, if you want several starters, opt for the seafood tower, a bit of everything and beautifully presented. For our mains, we had the spicy lobster cavatelli and NY strip, both were delicious and generous portions.

And please save room for dessert, all cakes are freshly baked in house (nut free). The carrot cake and strawberry shortcake were excellent.

Great addition to Park Avenue South dining scene.

Impeccable service – warm, friendly, our server knew every dish inside and out and made us the best recommendations. Everything we had was delicious and the staff was kind. This restaurant is one of the few that will live beyond the initial hype – really a place worth visiting again and again. If the s’mores pie is on the menu when you go, order it!!!

I like the food in general. Fresh and light fish cooked in an elegant way. I have enjoyed soo much toast with lobster, salad and salmon. Even the dessert was good. Wine list quite good but too expensive. The service and the location was excellent. Try it!

We had Christmas Eve dinner and was the perfect place to celebrate. The atmosphere is quintessential NY, looks like it could have been here for 50 years, not 2 months. The entire staff (and there were at least 6 folks) that took care of us was kind, welcoming, attentive and warm. Made the night especially special. In particular Aquila our server was great, apologies dont remember everyone’s names, but they were fabulous too! The food was excellent, some of the best seafood in the city. Fresh, inventively prepared and delicious. I think you might have to go to Le Bernadine to fine better. This will become a new go to for us! Thank you to the entire staff for making a wonderful night on Christmas Eve.

This was the most fringe five star I’ve given in years. The food was great, and the ambiance was awesome. Waitstaff was kind and caring. However, I do have my complaints. This restaurant comes from the owner of lure fishbar- and you can tell. Lure is a ripoff high end establishment and I felt like the price reflected the ownership. While the experience was good they got away with a nice check from our group. I’d go back, but the experience left me wondering if they can get away with certain things at multiple locations

FRESHEST SEAFOOD I’VE HAD IN AMERICA

By far, the freshest seafood I have ever had in Manhattan. Likely the fresher seafood I’ve ever had in the United States. Everything was absolutely excellent. The lobster pasta as well as the steak with well done, french fries was an added surprise to a seafood heavy menu. Service was absolutely top-notch. The owner even came by to say hello. The vibe is excellent and it is in such a hip location. Will be back over and over and over ! One of the best new restaurants in Manhattan and very excited to come back.
