The best hamburger steak and pottery burger! The char is what made this meal delicious our waitress was friendly. However, you can see and feel they are trying to get a handle on running this establishment. Maybe the management team should be out of view and site when discussing business aspects. Alot of noise, chatter from the staff. We were there 45 minutes before we received our food. And the floors need a good scrubbing as well as the kick area at the counter. Best of luck to this establishment! We were here from out of town visiting some of the pottery sites.

I am beyond disappointed to be leaving this review but something needs to be done here as the quality is going down the drain. My dad & I went in to grab a quick to go breakfast this morning, I got my usual bacon egg and cheese on toast with mayo and tator tots, he got a bacon egg and cheese on a bun with a side as well. We left the restaurant, I head home, he’s heading to Trinity in his box truck for work, he calls and says he has no bacon on his sandwich. I check mine and lo and behold no bacon. So since I live close and wasn’t home yet, I went back to have my order remade. Where instead, the server opens my box and TOUCHES MY SANDWICH to see there is no bacon, goes around the corner to the kitchen and puts bacon on my sandwich again with bare hands and apologizes and gives me the same food back. Now cold, soggy and with god knows what kind of germs from her touching it bare handed. I was in the industry for 11 years, and managed for 5. This is not acceptable. Someone’s food should
Not be touched bare handed and given back to them. Needless to say, we spend $24 and didn’t eat our breakfast.

Not a great experience. My food was ok but over priced for the amount of food and the taste and prep it wasn’t restaurant quality. Got a side of fried okra only got nine pieces. I got my son the chicken tender kids meal and the chicken tenders were stuck together and completely Raw on the inside. They took them back to fix it and they came back overcooked and very hard. Also my husband said the bathroom was absolutely disgusting and he refused to use it.

Hometown fare with attentive southern country service. They were a little busy, but someone was willing to come out of the kitchen to get our drink orders and menus while we waited on our waitress.
The food is good home cooking with a variety of options from sandwiches and wraps to salads and dinner plates. This is a very economical place to eat, without the economical style food. Portions are generous and everything was well prepared. We had a good cross section of the menu with a Grilled chicken taco salad, Fat Boy Burger, Grilled Chicken Wrap, and Country Fried Steak w/ Creamed Potatoes (mashed potatoes) and Fried Okra. We also finished off with Coconut Cream Pie and Pig Picking Cake. Pie was awesome & the cake was good (not as flavorful as I would like, but others would probably like it).
Enjoyed ourselves and left full and well satisfied.

If you like southern food and hospitality check this place out before visiting the various pottery vendors around town (sea grove is known for their local pottery ) Great little spot to fuel up on local food .. Christie our server was uber sweet ! My friend had the pulled pork sandwich and coconut cream pie which they did not charge for .YEA! Not many choices for vegetarians which was to be expected so I had the mashed potatoes green beans and beets which just perfect.. by 12:30 this lil spot was packed from corner to corner … after lunch we went out to the back and saw the beautiful beautiful horses and barns ! Now that was the perfect ending to a lovely lunch !! So check it out if you are out and about

I ordered a chicken club. The brows stale, pulled the lettuce from sandwich.
One of my biggest pep pees is ordering food and I not satisfied with the food I ordered. Our church group visited for the second time. 3 others food was not prepared as expected. We will never eat here again.

Our waitress couldn’t have been any nicer, and apologetic for the disaster we experienced. We waited at least 30 minutes for turnip greens floating in pure water, pinto beans with pure vinegar in them (? who does that), cold mashed potatoes and cold fried okra. The waitress gave one of us a free meal and we all got free tea and dessert BUT I would never recommend or go there again. The cook with the patriotic hat on sat at a booth forever before attempting to prepare our meal which consisted of opening a few cans.

I chose this location by googling diners in Seagrove, NC. The interior is what one would expect from a diner. I found out that this restaurant used to be called Jugtown Cafe. I was familiar with that name. My only complaint was that they gave me solid cold butter to try to smear on my toast. That doesn’t work. It will not spread. I asked for melted butter and was given the butter flavored oil that so many diners use. I am well aware that that’s what diners put on toast when they make it with it already on there, I just would have appreciated it had they allowed the butter to come room temperature before serving it to customers. Getting to see the horses next door was quite charming. In spite of the cold butter, I would recommend this diner to anyone.

In for breakfast on a Friday at 10 AM.
Wanted Biscuits & Gravy but they ran out of
biscuits at 9.
Said they don’t make too many so they don’t have leftovers.
ORDERED:
2 eggs with corned beef hash, hash brown potatoes
and toast. $6.99
Coffee $ 1.75
Will go back next time I’m in town.
