Ok here I go again posting a review for one of my “secret “ go to BYOB restaurants. Situated in Ocean Grove this restaurant is one of my favorites! A fish lovers delight with multiple dishes always on the menu. I LOVE the Long Island duck here! Priced fairly for value, nothing not to like here! Nice atmosphere and friendly staff and accommodations owner!

Stayed in Ocean Grove for a long weekend and went to SeaGrass both nights for dinner. The food is so good here I couldn’t get enough! So many options on the menu for a foodie like me. The first night I got the duck breast with raspberry glaze and the burrata salad with arugula. The next night was french onion soup and the east coast codfish. Both meals, especially the duck, were out of this world. So flavorful and very fresh. The service was great too. Even the hostess stepped up and served when things got a little hairy. Outdoor and indoor seating are both available. Definitely a place to check out if in the area.

Great food …. only thing I tried that I did not like were the mussels …. they were bland, tasteIess awful! Everything else is superb!! Need a better source of mussels and a new recipe involving garlic! My friend said the steamers need a scampi recipe …. they were bland as well.

I visited Ocean Grove beach over the weekend and then went looking for some local food when I got hungry. I did a google search to find something good and came upon the 4.5 star rating on this restaurant. So I thought ok how bad can it get? Well, although the food ingredients were fresh, the cooking left a lot to be desired. I love seafood and I’m the type of eater that always cleans my plate. That fact that I left food and so did the person I was with, speaks volumes. The service was great. The atmosphere was very nice. But I think they need a new chef or the chef needs a refresh in how to create tasty dishes. For the price the food should have tasted better.

I recently dined at SeaGrass Restaurants, and unfortunately, the experience fell short of my expectations. I ordered raw oysters but was served fried oysters instead, which was disappointing. The fried seafood platter also left much to be desired, as it didn’t meet the quality I was hoping for. The BLT lobster sandwich I ordered wasn’t as fresh as I had hoped, which affected my enjoyment of the meal overall.

In a party of 6, there wasn’t one thing ordered between appetizers and main course between the 6 of us that wasn’t delicious. We all ordered different things and each item was so good! Tuna tartar was so flavorful. Cannot wait to go back!! 5 stars all the way..highly recommend!

First time in Ocean Grove and first time here. Went for lunch with 3 others. We all enjoyed what we had. Food was generous and full of flavor. Great service as well. Would definitely go back.
