The wait person was great. She was the bar tender and also served the few tables next to the bar. She was prompt and SO friendly. We just happened to have walked in during happy hour. They had wine for $7.50 a glass and oysters for a buck each. I had the Manhattan clam chowder, which was very tasty but had precious few clams – and for my main course I had the soft shelled crabs. (I had never had the opportunity to try them before, but I’ve always heard people rave about them. They were good, but I didn’t see what all the fuss was about. That is not a reflection on the restaurant, because they cooked and presented them perfectly, it was just an “oh well” in terms of a selection. I am a seafood addict and eat anything that swims, but I won’t be having soft shelled crabs again.) My husband ordered the zucchini appetizer, which he really enjoyed, and the panko crusted sea bass, which he absolutely raved about. We shared a key lime tart for desert, which was ok but not great. All in all we were really taken with the place. It was a really nice experience and will definitely return there when we’re next in Philadelphia.

Came here for restaurant week. We were a group of 4. The food wasn’t great at all. None of us liked our food. Mine needed salt and pepper just to finish it. The drinks were horrible as well. Everyone ended up switching for something else. The restaurant is super small, only one toilet in the bathroom, definitely not worth the money we spent. Ultimately this place was the worst one I’ve visited. The only part of my experience was the friendly staff

I love the freshness of the seafood here. You really can’t find another place in the city that tastes so clean and fresh.

I have a gluten sensitivity and they are always very accommodating and modify dishes as needed. This last visit they prepared my salmon exquisitely adding just the perfect vegetables to accompany my meal.

I’ve lived in Center City West for years, just blocks from this place, and I’d never really recognized it as a seafood place. It turns out I’ve been missing a hidden gem because Seafood Unlimited is an amazing combination of cozy, delicious, and delightful.

The ambience for dinner is dark with sparkly mosaic walls, with reasonably space tables for enjoying a fun night out.

But what’s really amazing is the way they’ve designed the menu to provide economical seafood options alongside big splurges. We very much enjoyed sharing 4 dishes, and loved the fact that each had been prepared with care but didn’t break the bank.

The seafood was cooked to excellence, with flaky cod, beautiful shrimp, and juicy fried scallops. I also was surprised at the quality of the poke bowl — radishes, delectable tuna cuts, and rich avocado. The variety and scope of our meal was absolutely delicious.

If that wasn’t enough, the smell of perfectly brewed espresso drew us to dessert, though this time we had plans to visit the ice cream shop across 20th Street. We’ll definitely be back to try the Key Lime Pie though!

Went here for the first time during restaurant week Fall 2019 and loved it! The place isn’t huge and is in a the heart of Center City near Rittenhouse. Plus, it’s a BYOB! (So we brought our own wine of course). The food was great! We had three courses. We shared each other’s apps, which were the Mac &cheese and chicken bites. For my entree, I got the salmon while he got the steak and shrimp plate. And for dessert, we got the bread pudding and chocolate mousse. By the end of dinner, we were so full. The food was delicious, cooked well and just the right portion sizes (especially since we had the three courses to complete).

Would recommend checking this place out when looking for great seafood restaurant options that’s not your bigger places like Devon’s or Osyter House. Plan to go back here again for dinner or happy hour.

I went to Seafood Unlimited during restaurant week. It was my first time. It’s a small place nicely decorated. The service and food was good. I had a really good honey lavender cocktail. I would definitely go back and recommend trying it out. The one thing I would say is that the food could’ve been a little hotter. But I’ll give forgive them because it was restaurant week and it was busy.

I went here for restaurant week. I was highly disappointed. First course was like a salmon cake on tortilla chip. Second course was shrimp Mac and cheese. It was very dry. Third course It was jumbo shrimp red Thai curry sauce . jasmine rice and string beans. Rice was undercooked and shrimp was very soggy. Fourth course was chocolate chip brownie. It taste like it came from a brownie mix. I will not be coming back.

Excellent, from start to finish.

Fried shrimp was dreamy. It’s hard to find this made with a proper batter. Shrimp was large and sweet! Divine.

Do not miss the in-house made key lime pie. You might be taken aback as it is served in a tiny pie tin, but once you take a bite happiness will ensue. We were shocked at how good it was.

Perfect little spot in Rittenhouse. Owners run the show and take pride in their work. Loved it!

I had the swordfish and it was great!

The staff was awesome! Even though the place was pretty small and my friend and I were younger than 99% of the people there, they still treated us great.
