Happened upon this gem yesterday. They have indoor/ outdoor seating. A board with Saturday specials were right by the counter and full menu was also available. Menu has a big variety of everything. I sat at the counter by the window and ordered clam chowder and baked cod platter. The staff was amazing from the time you walked in the door. Greeting you, asked if you ever been, telling you all about the menu, specials, and answering questions. I also noticed how well they work as a team. Pre-bussing and quickly cleaning tables for the next patron to sit down. From information I gathered, the young lady at the front counter father owns this place. She enjoyed talking about him and his experience. The portion size was good as I had to take some home. They had coke options and unsweetened tea via pure leaf. I hope at some point they will add brewed sweet tea to the menu. Definitely would make a trip back to Leesburg to dine hear again.

You know how sometimes there’s a little bitty hole-in-the-wall place that you almost don’t even notice, but then when you discover it, it’s so delicious? This is that place! The food is fantastic. Service is super friendly. If you want whole lobster, you can only get it on Fridays (and they’ll run out, so don’t dilly-dally getting there!) and if you want snow crab legs, you can only get them on Saturday & Sunday. We got there too late on a Friday & missed the last lobster so I ended up ordering the sea bass they had on special that night, and that turned out to be a happy mistake because the sea bass was phenomenal! Everything we’ve had there has been fabulous.

As a transplant to florida from Maine, New England Seafood Shack serves the best seafood I’ve had since moving to Florida 3 1/2 years ago. They have great food, huge portions, and have quick and friendly service. The whole belly clams, New England Clam Chowder, and lobster roll were all perfect!!!

Just a small storefront with limited indoor and outdoor seating but wonderful seafood at great value! Loved the lobster roll (chose Connecticut style) and fish and chips. Sides of slaw, onion rings and fries were all excellent! Staff were very helpful in explaining menu options and everything we saw looked yummy! Went on recommendation of a friend and hope to return again during our vacation stay!

This is the place I come to when I want a genuine warm buttery Connecticut lobster roll. Don’t worry, they have Maine style as well if that is your preference. I have tried a lot of different items on their menu and I have liked everything. I drive more that an hour from Wesley Chapel just to have a lobster roll. They are the best I have had in Florida.

Similar to the cooking of our 20 year favorite place called Lenny and Joes in Madison CT. Here, at N E Seafood Shack in Leesburg Florida the onion rings are tasty and store made not frozen like so many places. My wife had the shrimp scampi and took half of it home and I had the clam strips with onion rings and was unable to finish the onion rings with their homemade dipping sauce. The new England clam chowder was good but we like the chowder at Publix better the little bit of a buttery taste. Overall I would give it a 4.7 out of 5 stars. The staff and Manager, Armando were very polite and attentive. On 10/20/25 we returned to enjoy more delicious meals trying the fried shrimp and cod fish and a meal of fish and onion rings. Excellent and could not finish the meals taking some home. Keep up the great quality!

Dear lord, be sure to bring your appetite if you get the jumbo lobster roll. It’s a half pound of lobster and felt like that may have been underselling it. Got it Connecticut style and it was absolutely perfect . Roll was buttery and perfectly toasted. Was a bit disappointed in myself barely being able to take down my order of fries due to stuffing myself with the jumbo roll. The fries were also perfect, seasoned right and nice and crispy. This was the best lobster roll I’ve had in years.

We had another great lunch today at the Seafood Shack, my wife had a Jumbo Maine Lobster roll and was huge.
I had pasta with lobster, shrimp and scallops, it was very good as well.
Our waiter Paul was very attentive and came by several times to check on us.

Not from the area, happened to run across a sign on the side of the road that said seafood shack 3 mi ahead. I’m glad I saw the sign, it was nothing less than what I would expect from a New England seafood shack. I had the Connecticut style lobster roll and the clam chowder, both were amazing. The girls that work there were super friendly so the service was also over the top. Thanks for a great experience!

We got eight seafood boils on the day after Christmas. We now have a new tradition. This place is fantastic. The food is amazing. We’ve been about four times now and we always get something different. Every time is better than the other. Great people that survived a grocery store conversion next door to them for almost a year. If I find a better place in the entire state of florida, I’d be shocked! Well done folks, see you again soon.
