Freshly cooked to order, large portions. Ordered the cod basket. Two huge pieces of moist cod with well seasoned coating. Fries were hot and salty. Not greasy. Great price. Definitely want to try other items on the menu.

As everyone knows, I love a good crab cake and well-seasoned food, and this place definitely delivered. While visiting my nephew in Newport News, we stopped by and everything was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The seafood was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the service was friendly and welcoming.

My husband and I decided to try this small take out/restaurant seafood place because we were craving fried shrimp. We were very happy with our delicious meal. The shrimp were medium size and very tender… and plentiful. I got fries and he got hush puppies as a side. Both were tasty, and the price was very reasonable.
Also the man who took our order was very nice. They do have plenty of tables to eat in and the interior is super clean and tidy.
Overall I was very impressed and will definitely be going back.

In town to visit— the hubby and I ordered the catfish nuggets— which were good; the okra— pretty good; Mac n cheese not very good; collards were good; chicken tenders were over done and the shrimp was pretty good. The atmosphere was nice and clean- service was good as well. Over all, this place was ok.

Technically a 4.5, but good enough to leave a 5 star review. Don’t be fooled by the location! The establishment is bright and clean with plenty of seating for guests. Their menu is easy to read, has plenty of variety, and meal prices even include a drink They have both sweet & unsweetened tea, and refills are self serve. I ordered the crab cake dinner (baked, I believe) and the food did not disappoint! The crab cakes had plenty of meat and went great with the remoulade sauce. The collard greens definitely did NOT come out of a can and were delicately tender (wish they had hot sauce on the tables ). I couldn’t tell whether the potato salad was made in house, but it was also good nonetheless (I’d added pepper before taking photos). My only complaint is that I wish the meal came with a few hush puppies

A cute little spot, however the food doesn’t wow you and isn’t worth the price. The cod I recieved tasted off and was overcooked, so I asked for coconut shrimp instead, which was given. However, moments later he said the reason it tasted off was the malt vinegar I used, which is absolute bunk because I shower my cod in it at other places and it always tastes good. The coconut shrimp was a bit overcooked but the sweet chili sauce covered a world of hurt. The fried okra however was seasoned well and tasty and not overcooked. Wouldn’t go here again.

visited this evening for the very first time and had the Catfish dinner with macaroni and cheese and collard greens. The food was delicious!! The collard greens were tender and succulent. The macaroni and cheese was a creamy and cheesy delight. The catfish was good especially with their own brand of tartar sauce
