We’ve been coming to this restaurant for years and always appreciated the warm atmosphere, great food, and consistent service. Unfortunately, my most recent visit confirmed that everything has changed—and not for the better.
When we walked in, there was no one at the counter, so we stood waiting with no greeting or acknowledgment. Strangely, someone then walked in behind us from outside and immediately asked if we were “ready to order,” which already made things feel disorganized and unprofessional.
As we looked around, it was obvious the restaurant had changed hands. There was suddenly an alcohol bar that was never there before, and the entire atmosphere felt nothing like the previous ownership. Still, we tried to give it a chance and placed our order.
We waited over 20 minutes for two simple plates, which should not take that long in an empty restaurant. During that wait, we attempted to use the restroom and were shocked—it was filthy, unkept, and clearly not being maintained. That alone was a huge red flag.
When our food finally arrived, the portions looked like child-sized plates, and for what we received along with three drinks, the total was more than $45. The value was absolutely not there. To make matters worse, the dining area itself was dirty—crumbs everywhere, tables not wiped down, and just an overall feeling of neglect and poor management.
At that point, we didn’t even bother finishing our food. We left disappointed, uncomfortable, and honestly a little sad to see a once-loved restaurant decline so dramatically.
The quality has completely changed under the new ownership, and the portions have become noticeably smaller. I will not be returning.

Hop Pin And Go
Walking in for the first time, you might think, “maybe I have the wrong place?” But no, you’re *absolutely* in the right place! We had some pretty incredible boils — perfectly cooked and abundant platters, all super flavorful.
The Seafood Pot and Seafood Madness low country boils are what we’ve pictured here and we will absolutely be back to get this again! The “Regular Butter” option still had a kick of spice that was a tasty level without overpowering the Seafood.
We weren’t fans of the gumbo, but the grits were great!
Some members of our group had the fried chicken wing and shrimp and fries, and they said it was super good. The rest of us stuck with the low country boils!
The people who work there were SO friendly and sweet. Always checking in on us and being reassuring and wonderful the whole time. They brought plenty of napkins and were super kind and thoughtful. We will absolutely be back!

We are really glad we found this place! We got the seafood boil and it was delicious. Great quality seafood for an affordable price. The service was really friendly as well. I can see us coming back here the next time we’re in the area.

Look!!! When I tell you the food was amazing and the vibe excellent. Seafood Pot is most definitely the place to go. Most definitely will visit again. Sorry I ate an egg roll before taking the photo. The seafood platter, crab cake, and fried okra was delicious.

This restaurant was nice and clean and it had a wide variety of items to choose from. The customer service was great with recommending items that was sure to please our taste buds. Even though we did not get the highly recommended gumbo, the items we did choose were fantastic. Our food came out nice and hot and the portion sizes were great. Delicious and filling, what a winning combination.

I visited this location after receiving a less than warming welcome (no acknowledgement) from a chicken and waffle restaurant. Upon our entrance we were greeted with nothing but “The Charleston Flavor.” Brea and her collogues made our experience a more than pleasurable experience. Their attention to my our needs was EXCEPTIONAL. Customer Service was ABOVE AND BEYOND what I have experience in the more than 60 years of the industry. Our final order reminded me of my mother’s kitchen on a Friday evening. My palate is still experiencing the taste of ” Real Down-Home Charleston Cooking”. If you want to experience a “pleasure for your palate” visit this location. KUDOS to the workers at Seafood Pot !!!!

My friend and I wanted something new and Seafood Pot really was that spot. When we first step food into the establishment. I felt almost at home everyone greeted us with smiles and welcomes. Even with our face mask on as well. We have already been there twice within a week. Our first dish was the Gumbo and the speciality of the day which was a deliciously corn, potatoes, crawfish, polish sausage,shrimp and a side of Mozzarella sticks on the side.(basically your seafood pot ). You know its goof when the potato is just melts in your mouth. I loved that the Gumbo had a bit of heat but not to much. The amount of rice ratio and broth was amazing. Especially with the shrimps and the sausage gave it that lousiana feeling of being in New Orleans. Keep up the good work ❤

Recieved the most polite and professional cusomer service from ky. The atmosphere here was relaxing little store space located in a strip mall just off Rivers
Avenue. The price of the food was fair for the area. Our impression about this place, we recommend it and I know we’ll be back again.

I truly enjoyed the seafood pot; it was bursting with flavor and clearly prepared with fresh ingredients. It was also served hot, which made it all the more delightful. I must say, the owner was incredibly friendly and made the experience even more special. It’s always nice to be welcomed with such warmth!

Told they wrong lady she says it on the way. No extra napkins, no bottled water. Tables were dirty,flowers were dry and dieing. Plants need water.
The food was deep fried with too much better. We stated eat in and she placed in carry out boxes. Did not give us our drinks until she came out the bathroom.
Very little ice with the Tea.
I was visiting from Savannah. This restaurant was the WORSE.
The attendant sat down the entire time looking on her phone.
