I visited Seafood Haven on a Saturday evening, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. As soon as I walked in, I was personally greeted by the owner, who was incredibly welcoming and genuinely kind. He made me feel like family right away, which really set the tone for the rest of the visit. You can tell he truly cares about his customers and his business.
I ordered the four-piece fish and shrimp dinner with macaroni and cheese and collard greens, and every part of the meal was on point. The fish and shrimp were perfectly cooked—crispy, flavorful, and not greasy at all. The seasoning was just right, not too salty. Great portion sizes. The macaroni and cheese was creamy and comforting, and the collard greens were well-seasoned and cooked just right. Everything came together for a very satisfying meal.
Overall, the food, service, and welcoming atmosphere made this a standout dining experience. If you’re visiting the Poconos or are in the area, I highly recommend stopping by Seafood Haven. It’s a place that delivers great food and genuine hospitality. 10/10 experience—I’ll definitely be back.

Just let me start by saying absolutely amazing experience here at Seafood Haven. Customer service is top notch the staff were so friendly and treated us like they knew us for decades. Other establishments can learn a lot from this place.
Now onto the food, amazing amazing amazing is all I can say. I got the catfish dinner platter with Mac n cheese and collard greens. if you don’t know if you like collard greens get them from here you will love them but never want anyone else’s. The wife got the whiting dinner platter with fries and Mac n cheese. She loved it. The platter size is huge you won’t be hungry after. We also got a side of cabbage which is amazing and candy yams which was out of this world. If you don’t like the food here I am sorry you don’t know what good food is. We also got a order of fried crab sticks and fried scallops which were you guessed it awesome. On a personal side note they have Dr Browns cream soda if you like cream soda and have never had this brand you need to try it I’m telling you.
This was a weekend anniversary for me and my Wife but we will be coming back with the family so they can enjoy this amazing place.

Had a weekend trip in the Poconos this weekend, and we’ve been meaning to go to this spot ever since looking up places beforehand—it was totally worth it! We got the catfish & fries platter, collard greens, and cornbread. Everything was so delicious and melted in your mouth; not only was the food great but also the service!! Daryl and everyone in there was so extremely kind and I could immediately tell the food was gonna be great (it’s made with love for real)!! DEFINITELY coming back for that banana pudding (and to try the whiting)

Seafood Haven is a gem! Darryl was so welcoming and hilariously funny! The community is blessed to have him and his family’s restaurant. The whiting dinner… chefs kiss. Yams, Mac, candied yams everything chefs kiss x2. We loved this being the first stop of our weekend.

My family and I were visiting from Bucks County and after seeing the reviews, decided to give Seafood Haven a try.
First, the food.
We ordered the hush puppies, fried scallops, and fried flounder. My mom is super picky and said her scallops were crispy and cooked just right. It was also a decent sized portion. My dad got the fried flounder and also said it was cooked perfect and tasty. I don’t eat seafood so I got the hush puppies. They were so good! (It was my first time having hush puppies and I have tried them a few times since then. No one’s even come close!
Second, the people. The owner and his son were both there and they are great people! You can tell Darryl loves what he does and it really shows with the food and energy that he puts out. I think my dad and I spent at least 20 minutes talking to him and he is just so kind and welcoming. I can’t even describe how wholesome he was.
Thank you SFH and Darryl for the wonderful experience. If we are ever in the area again we’ll be back!

I highly recommend Seafood Haven for their fish and chips (fries) and wonderfully customer service! Daryl is very welcoming and the fish (catfish) and chips were crispy and perfectly salted. If you’re looking for seafood in the area, this is a must-visit!

The owner was very kind! From the moment we entered the establishment, we felt welcomed. He was attentive and explained the menu and portions. We ordered the salmon with Mac and cheese and candied yam sides, it was delicious. Very fresh fish! Also ordered a smaller meal of whiting fish with fries for my child and the fries were perfect, not too greasy or overcooked, just the right crunch. The owner also gave us complimentary devils egg, my gosh it was so yummy! You can tell the owner and his son (I presume) cooks with love in this food. I also loved reading his quotes that were displayed in front of his restaurant, very nice touch and something to keep you positive. The owner was very kind and generous to my child (lollipops for days) which just made our experience that more pleasant at his establishment. Overall, great delicious fresh food, caring and kind owner, would definitely recommend!! Can’t wait to visit again when back in PA.
