If you have time to wait…..20 min then you are in for a treat. They have some flavorful fried chicken. But be warned that some may think that the chicken is to salty. But if you like salt you owe it to your self to try them out.

The food here was really good. We went at a bad time cause they were hosting a huge birthday party for someone and were pretty crowded at that time. The servers still did a good job taking care of us and the food was phenomenal. My daughter and I both had the catfish plate and it was cooked to perfection. Next time we are in the area we will probably come back for more.

I was very impressed. Ordered the large fried chicken plate and it was just that-LARGE! Beautiful pieces of meat. Fried perfectly. Cole slaw was good. Hush puppies were amazing. Ordered a ‘bakers dozen’ when I left. My only complaint (which is actually a good thing) is it takes your food a minute to come out. They cook everything to order. My chicken was out the grease hot when it hit the table! Can’t wait to go back!

Great find on a Sunday outing, just looking to try out a new place. The staff was very polite and efficient. The food there is some of the best in the area! They add a spice combination they call “Goo” to everything and it was absolutely delicious! I had a combo of fried shrimp and chicken livers (you can create your own combos, which is great). The shrimps were huge and the livers were amazing, with the perfect amount of breading. This place quickly became one of our favorites and we’ll be frequenting more often when we’re in the Trussville area!

Food was delicious. Workers were amazing. Drove 1 and 1/2 hours worth every minute of it. Crab claws were the best I ever eat. We also had chicken, fried and grilled shrimp, and grilled scallops all were wonderful. I don’t even like scallops but tried them and loved them.

Will not visit this location again. We have been here several times and never have the staff seemed like we anything but a burden. They obviously don’t want to be there. Our most recent take out order was 3 lbs of fried crab claws and baked potatoes … half of our crab claws were under cooked and were at the refrigerator temperature once you bite into – the rest were soggy and barely fried. We’ve tried our luck at this location several times now and the experience has never exceeded the above. I would recommend Cajun Steamers, even for take out if that’s your preference. Price is way less and food is great!

Great fried chicken, chicken livers and crab claws. Although we have been returning customers for more than 30 years we haven’t tried anything else because those three are SO good! Family run business. They put a different type of salt on the fried chicken that really makes it special. We discovered when our children were little that after having stomach bugs their fried chicken with a baked potato would be the thing that we could eat that would make us feel better when we started feeling like we could eat again. Prices are reasonable and portions are large. Good service!

This place is awesome!!! Headed back from beach looking for seafood and local. This was as good as we had at the beach and twice the value. Seafood platter enough to feeed two. Crab claws so good and husband loved the fresh and hard to find chicken livers. Our new stop outside of Birmingham on the way to the beach. Delicious.
