It’s fine if you just want to have some British Indian food.
I would probably recommend going for a fish related dish since it’ll actually be fresher around here.
Service was kind and quick. Nothing that could be done there.
It is definitely overpriced as the portions are pretty small. We got the Galfi and the Hariyali and a large rice to share. Despite wanting more, we couldn’t stomache the cost of it embarrassingly.

I wanted to like it…

Food was impeccable. Some of the best Indian I’ve had in a long time however service could be a little better. We were greeted by a lovely gentleman with a smile so thank you, he also took our whole order ensuring we had enough time to browse the menu.
However, when drinks arrived we found the birra Moretti tasted a bit off. Quite a few of us have anxiety and so we tried discreetly catching the eye of staff but was unable to, one member just drank it whilst my partner barely had a few mouthfuls. The water jugs also had quite a few water marks on there so I think the dishwasher salt and detergent needs monitoring.
Both myself and my partner are in hospitality with myself being FOH and my partner being a chef. We both adored the food so massive thank you to the chefs and the young lady who bought the large order out. However, the vibe changed as the mains came out the lady seemed impatient and borderline rude. I understand it may have been a long day so I completely empathise.
No check up was done on our table otherwise we would’ve mentioned about the beer. And no offer of anything else such as drinks or even desserts was made, our plates were cleared and then we waited a while before we flagged the gentleman down for the bill.
The architecture and design was beautiful but some tweaks and works need doing with service.

First time here and I’m sad to say I wouldn’t return. Service was ok, not particularly welcoming or friendly. Had high hopes for this place and being in Aldeburgh you expect to pay over the odds. You definitely do pay over the odds and what you get for your money is mediocre at best. I have honestly had better and more flavourful Curry’s out of the freezer section at Sainsbury’s. I’ve eaten at many Indian restaurants and this was way down there!
I always try to be fair with my reviews and I would never slate a business if it wasn’t necessary! Chicken was dry, my “chef’s special” curry was bland, naan undercooked, tiny portion of rice which tasted the same as the microwaveable packet rice you’d find in the supermarket. Biryani was £16 and just a small bowl of rice with some raita dip, No veg curry on the side. We did explain to the waitress and we were very fair in our approach without being rude. She offered a reduction on the bill which was nice. This particular waitress was very apologetic and understanding.
We sat for a while waiting for the bill and saw the manager (tall blonde lady) make a “hurry up” gesture with her hand to the waitress as we were the only ones left by that time. She clearly wanted to wrap up for the night which was extremely rude especially after a less than average experience. Will have to find another Indian restaurant that doesn’t overcharge or serve bland food.

Sea Spice is an amazing Indian restaurant in Aldeburgh! The food is full of flavour and beautifully presented, with a great mix of traditional and modern dishes. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere warm and inviting. One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in the area — highly recommended!

We are returning customers having been here three times previously. I think tonight surpassed all previous occasions. Service excellent, ambience fine and food beyond excellent. Thank you, carry on what you’re doing. Expect to pay a little bit more but it’s not your usual run of the mill Indian!

Sea Spice offers a delightful culinary experience with standout dishes like the Paneer Makhanwala, Paneer Achari, and Dhal. The Paneer Makhanwala is a creamy delight, with rich tomato gravy and perfectly spiced paneer. The Paneer Achari brings a tangy, bold flavor with its achari spices, making each bite a burst of taste with some of the softest paneer pieces i have ever had!. The Dhal is simply exceptional, creamy, and full of rich, comforting spices. Sea Spice truly excels in delivering authentic and memorable Indian cuisine.

Really tasty food, with really nice and friendly waiters. It was rather pricey, but the food was of a great quality – the butter Naan was amazing. Would happily return again!

Bland food & expensive
Naan bread hardly seen a heat source, cut up into pieces even after we had specifically asked for it not to be.
Tikka never seen a tandoori.
Won’t bother next time.
We did mention the naan when the waiter brought it over. His responce was you ordered a butter naan & got one. We did not get an opertunity to speak with the lady who took the order.

Called earlier today to check today if they’re open and they said yes but to call back at 530 – 545pm when they open to place an order. Called at 530pm and told no more orders are being taken and they won’t take anymore orders. Had we been given the right info we’d have called back earlier but now we’re left with nothing to feed kids and few places are open on a holiday. Just really poor attitude and frustrating to have done what we were told by them and then completely blindsided.

Nice Pseudonym (The Honest Reviewer)
Whoever owns/manages this place has extreme delusions of grandeur. The starters were embarrassingly bad; the paneer had less flavour than a grilled piece of halloumi, the Bhajis were dry and greasy, the cauliflower tasted like it came out of a hospital ward and the seekh kebab was anaemic. Its disgraceful to think that these 3 miserly pieces of what appeared to be microwaved or reheated seekh kebab were charged at nine pound a portion. The only glimmer of meal that my meal had were the mains, the chicken curry was tasty, however the portion was far too small and the chicken wasn’t moist, it was rather tough and chewy to the bite. It definitely wasn’t worthy of its sixteen pound price tag. The only part of the meal I can’t fault were the cocktails. They were exceptional and fully justified their price tag. Our booking for the table was booked in advance for ten people, upon arriving at the restaurant we were told to sit in two separate booths. After explaining to the waiter that the booking was made for my grandmothers birthday the servers joined four tables for parties of two together half heartedly and instructed people in my group to sit on the end of the long table they had made for us. The table felt extremely crammed to eat on and wasn’t a comfortable dining experience. Throughout no point in the evening were we asked how our meal was by a server. The manager of the restaurant seriously need to reevaluate their vocation as they quite clearly lack the ability to run a commendable service. No I would not recommend this restaurant. One star is for the food being eddible, another for the taste of the curry, and lastly one for the cocktails. No stars awarded for the quality or value for money and likewise for the attentiveness and consideration of the staff that overbooked the restaurant and didn’t take proper care of us despite the fact our party of ten brought in four hundred pounds for them that evening.
