Wanted something different after a weekend of fried seafood. Their pizza is made to order, so be prepared for a wait. It was worth it. Ample toppings, fresh crust, soft, yet nice crunch. Tasty unsweetened iced tea.

great place for a great lunch or dinner. they serve local seafood on some items, which is so much better than farm raised seafood. their service is great, locals eat here often so that speaks for itself. oh just remember this not a fast food restaurant, but for the most part they do a good job on wait time.

This place is phenomenal! Very homey feeling, it reminded me of a local diner back home and the waiter was kind and helpful! However, the food was by far the stand out! I am quite sure my family annoyed the other customers with how loudly and how frequently we were praising our meal! I would absolutely recommend you give this place a try! Maybe plan to eat there more than once lol!

This was our 2nd time eating here….The flounder fish plate with FF and home made “special” tartar sauce is fantastic. (The owners grandmother’s receipe.) Hush puppies & fries done just right are great and so is the deserts! Out waitress had a boot on her healing leg but was very good. Seating is only six tables but drive up window is constantly busy. Prices for food is fantastic and everything is fresh. If you are anyplace near here, (We drove from Cedar Island about an hour away.) You have to find this hidden gem on Harkers Island. (Hint: It is full of local people not tourists like us!) Places like this are far and few between and very hard to find.

Starving after Shackleford & found this gem on the way home! Phone ordering was easy & food was ready pronto. They have a drive around as well to pickup your takeout! The food was hot fresh delicious & generous portions. This place is a game changer as it saves us from traveling further from our home than we need to. Our new fried plate place!

We loved the gift shop at Sea Side Grocery. We purchased a variety of Harkers Island apparel, Christmas ornaments and other misc items. We also grabbed some quick groceries over our week-long stay.

I came for breakfast and was told thry ran out of grits. They literally only have eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, hasbrowns and toast ….. how could you run out? No you didn’t, you just didn’t want to cook anymore.

Not just a gas station, this is a must stop on Harkers Island. Excellent fried seafood. The super shrimp burger was full of big, lightly breaded shrimp. The oyster basket was a definite hit. Probably the best hush puppies I’ve ever had. And you need to try the tarter sauce – yummy.
