Fantastic fish and chips and courteous service. We ordered a haddock and cod, which were both light and crisp. The fish meat had flavour, too. One serving of chips was more than enough for the three of us. They put some salt and vinegar packets in the bag, which was convenient.
The interior has a fun nautical theme. There are four seats inside should you wish to eat your fish and chips fresh.

Didn’t realize it didn’t come with a sauce so they gave me a tartar on the house. Best fish and chips I’ve had in a loooong time! Had to take a bite before I took the photo.

We usually don’t write negative reviews, but this was easily the worst takeaway experience I’ve had. I got sick for most of the day after eating their fish and chips, and looking online, I’m not the only one with this experience.
The chips were ok but the cod – the most expensive part of the dish – was thin, tasteless, and mostly stodgy underneath with oily batter. I felt completely ripped off for the size. I only managed to eat half and had to bin the rest.
The cook looked scruffy and unfriendly. We even found a small hair in the food. If that’s any indication of hygiene, I dread to think what it’s like in the kitchen day-to-day.
This doesn’t mean all their food is making people sick, but since I’m not the only one who has reviewed getting sick after eating here, there appears to be something not right. It’s not worth the gamble for me.
Overall, extremely disappointed. Would not recommend.

This is a great takeaway spot! Both the haddock and cod are delicious, tender, and not too greasy. The amount of chips is extremely generous. I enjoyed both their tartar and curry sauces with mine, and you gotta get the lemon Fanta for a bev. There isn’t much seating inside, but Henrietta park is close by.

Excellent quality fish – crisp, decent batter, not too thick and only slightly greasy. Very good chips – varied sizes and lots of little bits to chomp on. Although quite well cooked I feel they are one re-fry short of gourmet quality. Fish portions (med and large) are good. Chip portions are huge. Prices are good. Overall EXCELLENT value for money. Bonus plus is the owner seems like a really nice guy. STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.

We’ve had a Saturday night take away,all good ,food good enough.we only went to them becouse Golden Plaice was shut .
3 hours later my wife was violently sick and my toddler had fever ,nasty diarrhea in her nappy and lost of appetite for the rest of the day ..the only thing they had and I didn’t was the haddock.
I’ve contacted sea pearl the next day but they won’t not take any responsibility and won’t refund my money.they are asking for a blood test which we didn’t get ,it was Sunday and we managed the fever with Calpol .so just be warned.not recommending the place at all

Ordered through just eat and it was fairly quick to come. Opened the bags and realised we were missing a can. The chips don’t taste freshly cooked ,the battered sausage was ok, the burgers ok, the food was a bit pricey and not very well advertised on the just eat app. They didn’t provide enough salt for what we wanted on our food.
