First visit to Sea Island , was taken back by the crowd but the line moved quickly! Our cashier Serena was amazing, she walked us through the lunch specials and showed us the full menu! Naturally I ordered The Anniversary plate, her suggestion because it comes with everything! I also loved the cold clean restaurant and clean bathrooms. The hot was made fresh and served hot!!! Two very enthusiastic thumbs up!!!!

Ordered the #14 w/spinach n fries. Those hush puppies are so good. The fish was hot and tasted so good. I love the spinach. If you haven’t tried it Highly recommend it. So Good.

Daughter and I each had the fried fish and shrimp plate with fries, hush puppies and rice. (She had green beans instead of rice.) Served nice and hot.
It was so good! Had to bring some home. Couldn’t finish it. Hubby had the diablo sandwich w fries. That bad boy was huge also! Ordered ceviche. Came with some crunchy chips. Everything was great!! We’ll be back.

The best shrimp I’ve had is from Sea Island Shrimp House! The potato balls as sides were perfect too. Got to make it a goal to stop by here whenever I’m in San Antonio.

New to the area. Googled seafood and Sea Island came up. This review is for the Military hwy location. We tried to eat lunch there at about 1:15 pm today. The young woman at the counter couldn’t tear herself away from her phone to take our order. Literally she was playing with her phone for about a minute, while we were standing in front of her, waiting to place our orders. Why does Sea Island Shrimp House management allow their employees to play on their phones at the counter, when they are supposed to be taking orders? When the employee finally managed to look up from her phone, she seemed bothered. She didn’t greet us at all, just eyeballed us and mumbled something. Very rude. I asked if someone else could take our order, because she obviously wasn’t interested. A bearded man sauntered over to another register and was almost as surly. Unbelievable. Worst, rudest customer service since we moved to San Antonio so far. At this point, we just decided to leave. Bad service, bad vibes. No thank you. What a horrible experience. We ate at Ma Harpers instead, where we got huge delicious shrimp, authentic red beans and rice, for a very reasonable price.

Always a great place but WHY DID YALL CHANGE THE SEAFOOD BOIL!! IT WAS 100 TIMES BETTER BEFORE YALL DID THE MODERN BAGGED TYPE!! GO BACK TO THE LOUISIANA STYLE!! It was way too salty! Way too much garlic! Ill never order it again unfortunately.

It’s been a good three years since I’ve eaten at Sea Island and it did not disappoint. Food was good, portions were perfect freshly made and delicious. The fried oysters were a bit too salty for my liking but overall it was great lunch. Definitely coming back.

We decided to try this restaurant after hearing great things from friends, and it did not disappoint. The food was flavorful, the drinks were refreshing, and the service was fast. Our kids loved their meals and we appreciated how clean and welcoming the dining area was. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!
