Was in the area for some Thai dessert and saw dim sum and decided to give it a try. I’ve always been a fan of this chain but for their seafood. I think this will be my first time trying their dim sum. There’s ample amount of parking at it’s in a HUGE shopping center with a lot of other Asian establishments including Tokyo central (supermarket)
The moment I stepped in, was immediately greeted and seated. We got a seat right by the fish pond 😉 We ordered the chicken sticky rice which we liked as there’s chicken and shrimp, cream buns were a bit on the sweeter side, the egg tart was a complete fail / it was hard and stale, chicken feet was ok, lacked flavor and shumai wasn’t that good.
Overall: the service was excellent but the dim sum was not. I would not return for the dim sum 🙁

Food was so bad that it’s an eye opening experience lmao. The egg tart was tiny and tasted bland and undercooked. The meat in the rice roll was chewy. The skin on shrimp dumplings was mushy. Overall I would give it a 0.5/10 if I could.

First time here. Good space for large parties, pretty good and quick service, and good attitudes from the servers. Had a large party of 13 with 5 kids Sunday morning at 11am and they had the large round tables available. It was dim sum served via cart. I expected the food quality to be better, as we got very soggy siu mai and char siu bao, mushy har gow, and egg tarts that were liquidy. Would come back only if the food quality improved

Everything about this dim sum place was merely fine, hence the three stars. We ordered several different dishes from dumplings to radish cake to egg tarts and sesame balls and two or three of the dishes we received were flat out cold. The shrimp balls had to be reheated and so did one of the dumplings. I’m not sure why the food was either lukewarm or just cold, but I guess putting it into a microwave real quick fix most of the issues. With the amazing places for dim sum that we have in LA and especially in my area, San Gabriel Valley, this place was a bit disappointing. Nothing about the food was bad per se, but it wasn’t all that flavorful and the food being low temperature was a pretty big turn off. I don’t think I would come here again and I don’t want to give them only two stars because the quality was OK, the service was also decent, and it seems pretty popular since there were so many people there for lunch on a Saturday.

We were pleasantly surprised at how delicious and fresh our dim sum was. We’ve had long-time favorite restaurants as go to places for dim sum nearby, but no longer. We will definitely be returning to Sea Empress Seafood Restaurant.
We have returned several times now and have been pleasantly surprised by the subtle menu changes.
Each time there are new additions to the menu.

We were on the way to Los Angeles and looking for a breakfast place. I found Sea Empress Seafood Restaurant perfectly on our way. We decided to have our dim sum fix there.
We waited at the parking lot for a few minutes and got our table as soon as they opened. The restaurant looks a little dated. But who cares! We want to have our dim sum breakfast.
The dim sum is pretty good. They’re hot and fresh. We got what we wanted and were back on the road in less than 45 minutes.

Went on New Year’s morning for dim sum. Jin doing was hard and tough like old and reheated multiple times.nothing hot, room temperature and was not fresh, seemed day old. Been here dozens of times but will never go back
Disappointed at the stupid management

The food is pretty good! We ordered a few of the dumplings, one meal off the lunch menu, and a chow fun dish. I recommend the Fried taro and the pork shu mai as those were our favorites. The sweet and sour pork was also good, the beef chow fun with gravy was a bit plain but still good.

Traditional dim sum restaurant. Lots of variety. Servers pushing carts just keep coming even when we have so many on the table. I wish they offer a sign on each table to show if you want more dim sums so that we can pace ourselves and get fresh ones when ready.

It was my first time here maybe because we got there almost an hour before they stop serving dim sum not really all that exciting like my friend had described it to me but she was disappointed. But this is really more for meat eaters so these were my entrees i was able to get. I didn’t take more pictures because i wasn’t really that much excited about the place but i also got the egg custard sesame ball bomb, chinese broccoli and seaweed salad alway my all time fave and duck the duck was cold and i don’t like my food cold. Other than that the service was good and our waiter was really nice.
