Sea Dog Brewing Co is a great spot with a wonderful atmosphere and, clearly, a popular one. The brewery aspect was solid, and the vibe was exactly what you’d expect and want from a place in this location.
However, I have mixed feelings about the food. I ordered the lobster roll. While it was good, it wasn’t exceptional, especially for the price point. It just didn’t quite hit the mark for me.
The reason is, I have a strong basis for comparison. This summer, I was vacationing in Monterey, California, and I had the most delicious lobster roll ever there. It was so perfect that I immediately ordered a second one! Unfortunately, the roll at Sea Dog didn’t evoke that same level of delight or make me want another.
Overall, this is a solid place to spend some time. But if you’re a lobster roll connoisseur looking for a truly unforgettable experience, you might not find it here.

Traveling and found a brewery close to hotel. Glad we picked Sea Dog. Had a great experience. Beer and food was excellent and all the staff were very friendly. Really enjoyed the Shipyard smashed pumpkin and pumpkin head beers. Will definitely visit again next time I’m traveling in the area.

I loved the riverfront deck, solid house beers, and pub menu at Sea Dog Bangor. I found the bartenders friendly, seating spacious, and beer flights ideal for sampling. Lobster rolls were ok. Tuna sushimi was delicious. Overall, good spot for a pint and food.

Besides our order taking about an hour the food was very delicious. There was some type of Asian noodle with peanut sauce and something almost picketed it was AMAZING. The atmosphere was fun and there is plenty of seating area inside and out.

Went there before a concert. Walking distance to the Amphitheatre. Lots of craft beer and cocktail options. Even a thc beverage for the non alcohol drinkers. Meal was delicious and lots of seating. Seating is laid out well so you can have a conversation and not hear the table next to you. Great view from the deck as well!

Everything was great, except the hostess. We arrived a little over an hour before closing, and she made sure to tell us to be sure to have our orders in before they close?! Like ok ma’am, if it takes an hour to place an order, maybe this place is the issue? Our server was absolutely amazing, sweet, kind, prompt and wonderful! Food was delicious, drinks were great, and dessert was out of this world! Other than the not so friendly hostess, we had zero complaints!! Oh and we ate and paid well before closing!!

However, our 45-minute wait time for 2 turned out to be only 10 minutes. Amazing!
Even with the mayhem, the staff stayed professional, fast, and welcoming.
Our food server, Kelsey C, was absolutely wonderful. The food came out fast and HOT. Philly Cheesesteak and Veggie wrap. It’s probably the best Philly I ever had
We liked the Sea Dog so much that we came back the next day for brunch when it was quieter and to enjoy the patio and water front view. We were even lucky to have Kelsey serve us again!
