I ordered an iced latte and was given a hot one. When I asked for it to be made iced, the barista just poured the hot drink into a cup of ice. It turned out watery and warm, so I asked if they could make a new one properly. Instead, he just added cold water and more ice to the same drink. Really disappointing — it showed no effort to fix the mistake or care about quality.

Super kind and welcoming staff. I had a vegan lettuce wrap with mushrooms- it was flavorful and fulfilling. There have daily vegan options, if you can’t see it in the menu, ask about it 🙂

What a disappointing experience. I walked in a few days ago during the heat wave only to find it was even hotter inside the cafe than outdoors; maybe the AC wasn’t working? Regardless, it was uncomfortably hot. The first thing I noticed was the banana bread sitting exposed under a heat lamp while several large flies flew around, inevitably landing on the banana bread. The open trash can was right next to the food prep area, so flies were going in and out of the trash onto the food. Disgusting. I saw they had a bunch of baked goods which appeared to be safe from the flies so I asked the employee which ones were gluten free. She told me they “basically all were,” but after asking about a few she stated only the carrot cake and blueberry muffins were. I asked for a blueberry but came home only to find out it was carrot cake. While waiting, I noticed a sandwich was $18! An $18 sandwich with a side of flies? Can’t say this place has me wanting to return.

Have tried this place a few times. The mocha just isn’t good. It tastes like water-ed down grinded coffee beans, not coffee. I paid $20 for 2 small mochas and a biscuit and it totally was not worth it. I feel ripped off. The coffee isn’t good either.

I hate to write a negative review on a small business but something definitely as to change with the quality of the coffee offered or they will go out of business. Hopefully this is a wake up call!

I have lived in Sea Cliff for the past 5 years and this is absolutely the best coffee place Sea Cliff has ever had. The coffee is great, their scones are delicious, and the food is incredible! The many times I have visited, the staff was always courteous and professional!!

Maybe this was a bad day for them. A sweet little shop on a lovely street. What can go wrong with coffee? Spent $15 on two small coffees and a scone. We both sipped the coffee and my wife said, “don’t drink that”.

I tried it and damn, it was awful! So it went in the garbage. Both cups. In the trash. The scone had to be two weeks old. It was hard and dry. Hard like the edges had to be pounded on the table to break off. That joined the coffee.

The doughboy who served us was oblivious, and we left. A disappointment. Only game in town, I guess. We won’t be back.

From your reply it’s obvious you put you and your employees before your customers. It shows. Thank you for the insult. I can see you’ll do well.

I love supporting local, but this was bad. The coffee (oat milk latte) tasted like soap. The poor pastry case is full of stale baked goods. I got a hard donut. For $12, I was ripped off.

Unfortunately the sandwich I had was terribly dry and flavorless. Just an awful experience and waste of money. I definitely do not recommend getting a sandwich from this place, I promise you’ll regret it. The coffee was just ok and it’s just ridiculously hot in there so sitting inside isn’t even a choice. You’re better off walking over to campground better quality and better atmosphere.

I was in Sea Cliff for a work related meeting. I dropped by the Daily Grind for a quick fix. I ordered a Chai Latte. And when I drank it (after I left the coffee shop) – it tasted horribly sour. I’ve had a million Chai Lattes so this was very odd. When I opened the lid the foam and contents were lumpy. Thus indicating that the milk was so sour and expired that it had gone lumpy!! I have no idea how the guy making it didn’t realise this. That’s $$ out the window. Their donut muffin was okay. Very weird after taste.
