A REAL GEM !! We stopped at the Oregon Inlet marina and discovered this incredible seaside bar and grill. Sea Chef Dockside Kitchen has exceptional food. The food is fresh, hot and perfectly prepared. If you find yourself traveling south of Nags Head on the Outer Banks, you need to stop in for a Shrimp Burger or a Salad. Friendly people with a smile to serve you some of the best food on the Outer Banks. I highly recommend this restaurant and give it a 9/10 (one of my highest ratings).

A must to add to your dining for lunch or dinner when near Oregon Inlet at the Outer Banks. The seafood is always fresh and will never disappoint. The favorite is to dine outside on the deck with the water views and sea breezes flowing. Although sometimes when peak season, you may have to settle for inside dining. The menu offers something for all. My favorites are the shimp burger, fried oysters, calamari, crab fritters, and their hush puppies. Oh and they have a banana pudding like none other. You have to leave room for it!! Plus there is always a special of the day, if not already sold out by the time you get there.

Best seafood we have ever had! Ate out on the deck in October for a fantastic evening meal. We were vacationing in the area and looked for a seafood restaurant ( there are many!) and this casual atmosphere with high end food. HIGHLY recommend the shrimp ( we had 1/2 lb for appetizer) with drawn butter! We also had the captains platter and the special of the evening was flounder with green beans and new potatoes. Excellent. The Hush puppies – wow! Service and the view was terrific also- made for a memorable meal. Thank you!

Awesome place! The food was delicious. We shared the 1/2 lb shrimp as an appetizer, I had a salad with tuna. My husband had the pan seared trout. The drinks were yummy. Watching the fishing charters come in was fun. Our server, Sarah, was great! Would definitely recommend

The food was phenomenal. The ladies that helped us were so kind and helpful. The setting is Devine.
I had the she crab soup, the brussel sprouts as a side (best ever!) and the shrimp burger. All were delicious. The soup was creamy with a significant amount of crab meat. The Brussels were the best Ive ever had. Cooked to tenderness with an (almost sweet) sauce sprinkled with craisons and pumpkin seeds. The shrimp burger was large steamed shrimp mashed together and the relish and bun added to its tastiness.
The setting is picturesque. We sat outside overlooking the boats and water. The music….i don’t often comment on the music but the music was spot on for enriching the coastal setting.
10 out of 10 recommend.

We had a lovely experience at this restaurant! The view from the dock was absolutely beautiful — perfect for a relaxing meal by the water. The food was delicious; we ordered the bouillabaisse and scallops carbonara, and both dishes were full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, not only to us but also to our dog, which we really appreciated. The only thing missing was the option for hot beverages, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience. We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back!

Fantastic Birthday Dinner!
Took my husband out for his birthday dinner and we had an amazing experience. He ordered the Red Drum special and I had the Tuna Steak, hands down the best tuna I’ve had on the beach! It was a super thick cut, perfectly cooked, and seasoned just right.
We started with the hush puppies, which came out piping hot and were served with delicious honey butter, such a treat! For dessert, my husband had the lemon pie and I had the banana pudding. Both were the perfect sweet finish to a great meal.
The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy. We’ll definitely be back!
