Great food at really reasonable prices. Huge appetizer portions. The nachos could be an entire meal for 2. The potato skins fill a 5 x 12 dish. Nice atmosphere. Good service. Would happily return.

I am very disappointed in my last & final visit at this restaurant. I have come here numerous times in the last couple of years, as well as the Funky Murphy’s establishment, which has always been nice! My out of town ID has NEVER been denied in over 2 years of visits or at any place period. I am a lady over 30 years old from MS, & tonight I have never felt so humiliated in my life at a restaurant. I usually come with my husband who is from here, & I just wanted a night out alone. The only reason I even ordered a drink (house margarita) was to get my food faster at the bar because I was hungry smh.

Stopped by Scruffy Murphy’s Worcester after landing at Worcester airport, & I was excited to try their $21.99 lobster roll. We began with mozzarella sticks, which were a great value. I paired my lobster roll with sweet potato fries, while he opted for the $16.99 fried captain platter. The lobster roll had plenty of filling, & his platter was devoured before I could try a bite – we left satisfied!

Worst meal I ever had there! Ordered the 10 oz baked haddock. Was not 10 oz and the fish was cooked hard on top and inside was mush! Waited much to long for our meal.

Food: I got the chicken Cobb salad, which was pretty plentiful. The vegetables were fresh and crunchy however, the chicken kinda looks like those grilled chicken strips that you get in the frozen section. It’s edible but kind of cold and kind of fake tasty. It’s also pretty inexpensive to eat here as they have their $9.99 deal going on on Mondays.
Service: our server made sure we got everything, would have appreciated a bit more attentiveness, but still fine.
Ambiance: very local older crowd that just loves a good spot that’s inexpensive with great portions. They have trivia and sport television on the bar section as well as the dining hall.
Location accommodation: it’s in a plaza with plenty of parking, but it does get full as there is also a nail salon in CVS right next-door to it

Update! Years later and we still love Scruffy’s and my family too! Been here no less than 25 times and never once had a less than better than average experience. Always prompt, hot, very reasonably priced, and rarely a wait at reasonable times.

Went here a few days ago with my Aunt who treated us for dinner. The staff isn’t friendly here for the most part. The food is just okay , the prices are fair . The sides are the worst part of the meal . The potatoes were instant and the vegetables were watery and not drained, and both were cold . We literally had to ask for a waitress. The waitress we had didn’t want to take the whole order. At first, she only wanted to do the drinks first, but we were on a time sensitive schedule. The best part of the trip here was that my picture was shown on the big screens. You can submit a photo and it will be shown on the big screens. My photo was up there within a few minutes. It was very cool! The sides we were supposed to get we didn’t, and they tell you one thing, and you get something else, and you noticed that someone else got broccoli. And nobody knows anything. Then we asked to substitute the nasty corn and asked for onion rings by the time they came out. We were halfway done with the meal. Very sad , they didn’t ask if we wanted a dipping sauce for the onion rings . Very disappointing. There is not a customer friendly establishment. They cut corners everywhere. They didn’t even ask if we wanted refills on our drinks . My mom’s prime rib was super tough and had some fatty parts, and my dad’s was super spicy. The quality isn’t there they give you more of the quantity, not quality .

Went here this past Sunday, 2- 23-25 . We were all planning to eat dinner after a long day moving . We had a party of 10 and already waited a bit at least 10 + minutes to be seated. One person said they were just waiting to put the tables together and clean some up. While the mean host said it looks like you’re going to have to wait another ( 30 – 45 minutes to be seated), at that point, we decided to leave the restaurant and go elsewhere. While we were leaving the restaurant, another ” smaller group ” walked after hearing what was said to us. Not very customer friendly . I’ve never eaten there and was definitely going to give it a try ( oh well) . You should always have a ( Host or Hostess up front) with personality and pleasant for the customers. It definitely makes it a better environment for all.

A friend took me for the first time here for lunch. The waiter was prompt, friendly and professional. The atmosphere typical of a pub. We both ordered the Pilgrim wrap which came with fries and a pickle. My sandwich came with a side of broken off fries and a hollowed out pickle. The first bite out of my sandwich was grissel and a long blonde hair. I didn’t say anything to my friend because it was her treat and I didn’t want to disappoint or embarrass her. I manged to choke down the half of sandwich but took a to go box and “accidentally ” left it behind. Obviously I will not be back

Went here on a Monday night with my buddy to watch the Monday Night Football game and this place has one of the best Guinness you’ll ever have in Worcester. They have a Monday night special food menu where everything‘s like 10 or 11 bucks I got a burger in the burger was so good that I ended up getting the pulled pork pizza. The pulled pork pizza was loaded with meat for something that was on a special menu. Took it home at eight the next day and it was phenomenal atmosphere was great. This is an awesome bar I can’t believe I’ve lived in Worcester for three years and not known about this place. I would recommend going here for a beer and watching a game or going on a Monday night for their food special you can’t beat it. I haven’t found anything else like that in Worcester.
