When you walk in, you order at the counter and they will bring you your food. Drinks are bottled. All in all there is a great selection of food!
It’s close quarters. You have to literally fight for a table. People are generally nice enough, but when you have a room squeezed full of hungry people, sometimes people get hangry.
Also, most of the tables seat 4 people. Most of the people waiting for a seat were couples. I wish it made sense.
No complaints about the eggs, the bacon was a little thin, and the hash brown was average.
Go with the pancakes!
It is a small restaurant with a hometown feel. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. One thing on the website that drew my attention was the catfish biscuit. I’ve had catfish for breakfast but not on a biscuit. I had to try it. I also ordered the fried apples. My husband ordered his basic favorite of bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit.
When they brought the food to the table, I’m sure our eyes nearly popped out of our head. The biscuits were humongous. The picture doesn’t do it justice. I immediately regretted ordering the apples because I knew I wouldn’t be able to finish the biscuit.
The food was superb…10 out of 10. The biscuit practically melted in your mouth. The fish was tender, and the sauce was a great addition to the biscuit. The apples were good, too. I was glad I ordered the after all even though I didn’t finish them. I told my husband that I felt like I was in Texas, where everything is bigger. The portions were generous, and the cost was inexpensive… more than worth it.
I look forward to returning next year when we will be back in the area and anytime after that.
To the staff, thank you for an unforgettable delicious meal and excellent customer service!
Good things to know before you go:
The bacon was not cooked enough (our preference is a little crispy) and we asked if they could cook it more. They said no because it is cooked in batches.
Husband asked for soft scrambled eggs but was informed they are made in batches as well. (2 stars)
