Scotty’s Donuts is a family owned donut shop that has been making delicious hand made treats since 1990. We offer over 30 flavors of donuts along with other baked good items including cinnamon rolls, donut holes, and our signature “giant” donut. Since our donuts are made fresh by hand each morning, we are only open until sold out each day so make sure to get your orders in ahead of time if possible!

I’ve traveled many places and to me Scotty’s are the best donuts I’ve ever had. They are better than Dunkin, Crispy Cream, and any other donut shop I’ve tried in other states. They have a light airy texture, flavor to them . The variety and taste are amazing.

I wanted to get a dozen doughnuts. I went inside and after the person in front of me paid, I told the woman behind the counter which doughnuts I wanted and she put them in the box as I spoke. I was a bit surprised at the price (higher than I thought it would be), but I hadn’t been there in a couple of years. And of course the price has gone up on just about EVERYTHING. The doughnuts were fresh and delicious and everyone really enjoyed them, and that’s what really matters.

For whatever reason my children love Scotty’s donuts and whenever we visit the grandparents about a thousand miles from home they always ask repeatedly if we can stop and get donuts, by which they mean can Dad get up early and go get donuts so that when they finally wake up at 11:00 in the morning they can eat them.
If I understand correctly the original owner has passed within the last year or so and I will say the inside of the store seems to reflect a little bit of a loss of something. There used to be all sorts of bric-a-brack and knick knacks on the wall that they would sell including lots of Hot Wheels cars that I always thought were kind of charming, I don’t really care that those things are gone necessarily however i’m a little sad that they got rid of their promotion. Again we stop by about 2 or 3 times a year but we would always save the coupon for a free dozen and it would always get raised from the original 10 on up through 15 and now they seem to have discontinued it with some weird passive aggressive notification on the counter… As if they couldn’t recognize their own promotion even if people cut the coupon in half. It seems to have lost some of the charm but the donuts are still fine. My wife likes the peanut butter ones and my kids like the Boston creams, and I will say all of them noted that the Boston cream tasted different this time than what they remembered for whatever that’s worth.

Stopped here on a Sunday morning. So fresh and flavors like blueberry, peanut butter glazed, and seasonal pumpkin! Donuts are big, and they give you 7 with a half dozen. Must try if you are in Dubois. I stayed nearby at Wolf Run Manor in Treasure Lake.

My family and I were on a cross country road trip from Utah to Montreal and stumbling across this shop was a highlight of the trip.

All I can say about the donuts is, MMMM, MMMM, WOW!
Donuts are delicious. They were fresh and looked professionally prepared. Some of the girls didn’t smile much, but maybe getting up at o’dark early to make outstanding donuts will do that to a person.

Ive lived in DuBois my whole life and growing up my favorite thing was waking up to a box of donuts and a bag of donut holes in the morning before school ONLY from Scotty’s. (So cheap btw) The staff there is amazing, Scott has been a friend of my fathers for years, one of the sweetest guys you’ll ever meet. If you’re ever passing through or staying I recommend this place! You have to go early before they sell out
