I experienced three good things about Scotty’s Chicken and one really bad thing, in my opinion.
The first good thing is that the service was spectacular and she even helped me figure out how to save money because I had just ordered six pieces of chicken with three being breast meat and three being thighs. She told me that I would save money if I ordered some kind of a package deal and I in fact did save money that way! I got six pieces of chicken, the kind I wanted, plus a large french fries for $2 less than when I was placing the order separately.
2. The second good thing is I think their pricing is really good!
3. The third good thing is that their french fries are fabulous! Crispy on the outside tender in the middle and only slightly salted and not too salted
Now for the one bad thing: the chicken was so dried out I could not swallow it. I was so hungry I grabbed the first piece while I was still driving, and I had to spit it out because I thought I would choke.
After I got back to the house I tried a couple of more pieces and they were also extremely dry. I found one thigh that was moist and yummy!
Out of the six pieces, one of them was edible.
The crunch was good! The salting was perfect! The flavor was decent but not terrific. But the chicken was so dried out I thought it came from yesterday.
Now that was my very first time ever trying Scotty’s tasty chicken! I am willing to give it a second chance, and I hope this was a one-off fluke and that the chicken is usually moist.

I wasn’t overjoyed with the food I had from there. My brother bought me a gizzard deal and I just knew I was about to be wanting more because he had hyped it up but the taste and quantity wasn’t there. He was even disappointed with his food. If I do ever go back I might try the chicken…I’m not a fan of the gizzards. Otw home while handing out food we realized we were missing a dinner.

Scott’s tasty, A home town staple. Its affordable and its comfort food. Anyone who leave town for whatever reason. They will make it a point to always visit this spot when home for vacation or whatever. If your in town stop by. Personally I love the chilli dog special, but you cant go wrong with the pork chop sandwich either. I’m gone.

I always get the chili cheese dawg all the way or the cheese burger all the way & a large lemonade. The food is always fresh and cooked to order. I highly recommend this little hidden gem/ hole in the wall joint
