5 Stars!
We had a wonderful experience celebrating Mother’s Day at Scott’s Seafood in Folsom. Our server, Kendra, was absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond to make sure we felt cared for and comfortable. Nothing was ever a “no” with her—she truly made every effort to get us exactly what we wanted, and her warm, attentive service made all the difference.

The food was delicious overall, though my steak wasn’t cooked to the exact temperature I requested. Even so, Kendra’s exceptional service more than made up for it. My wife and son had a great time, and we all left with smiles. Thank you for making our special day even more memorable!

I normally order the food at Scott’s to have at my favorite wine spot upstairs but today we decided to dine at Scott’s in the patio to catch the sunset. Brent was our server and he is a sweet man who is over worked and tried to stay on top of everything.

The food was a bit disappointmenting this time. How do you run out of black cod by 7 when that is your main item offer on the daily special menu? The Rockefeller oysters were seasoned well however one of the oysters were not fresh you can smell it. The tuna ahi was overdressed in sauce and paired with noodles that were overdone and extremely salty to eat. The fish n chips was sent back because it was undercooked and the fish was still translucent inside. No fault to our server but definitely needed a quality check in the kitchen. Also my martini came out warm, I had no desire to order a second drink. This was definitely not the best experience I had at this Scott’s. And they close earlier now too.

Bring good company and you will have a good time here even when the food is subpar.
Have some great wine upstairs at Willamette before you start dinner is what I would recommend.

So this was mine and my parents first ever visit to Scott’s. It started out a little rough. We got there a bit early for our reservation so we decided to sit at the bar. It was a pretty busy afternoon for them so when the bartender asked what we wanted we said a warm drink because it was a very drizzly cold day and asked if we could get a hot chocolate with a shot of Kahlua. The blonde bartender reluctantly took our order but told us it would be 10 minutes or so because they weren’t a Star Bucks. So needless to say that didn’t sit well with me. We finally got to our table and the waiter was super nice brought us sourdough bread which was the best I had had in a long time. We asked where they got it and he said from Village Bakery in Davis. Shout out to this place for the awsome bread. I got the shrimp roll which was so tasty with nice sizes shrimp and a great bun and garlic sauce. Fries were very crispy but tender on the inside. I also had a bowl of clay chowder which was very hot off the stove. The clams and potatoes where large enough to recognize what they were in each bite. I would definitely recommend this place but if that bartender is there I would probably not sit at the bar again.

Pros: lovely atmosphere, plenty of seating. Nice and helpful staff never feeling pressured or rushed at any point. They sell oysters. Presentation gorgeous and portion size reasonable.

Cons: the noodle dish was full of umami and salt flavor while the halibut was bland and flavorless. The seafood sampler platter also tasted weird as in not being balanced with the flavors for example pure acidity snd weird flavor combos.

Perhaps an off day but personally we would not recommend for a sit down dinner but highly recommend for purchasing oysters to take home and make.

Terrible experience for a party of 6. We were there for hours. Not because we were having a good time, but because the server NEVER came to check on us, gave us food at different times, never listened to simple requests, etc. Food took forever, the waiter was not nice, and the food was just okay. The required 20% service charge for parties larger than 4 is not a huge deal, but to demand that charge and then have severely poor service is terrible. I never leave reviews, but this was bad. It was not even a particularly busy night. The drinks took 50min from when we ordered them. When we arrived, there were three people at the front and not a single one of them looked up to greet us for a few minutes. I understand if you are busy, but a simple “I will be with you in just one moment” would do wonders. The manager was at the front and never looked up to greet us either.

The waitress was Kristina. She was sassy and rude. We were an easy going bunch but she treated us poorly.

I have already told people about this experience and will continue to share to avoid Scott’s. Go elsewhere.

We had an exceptional good first experience here. Celebrating a 10 year wedding anniversary and two birthdays we decided to finally try this place out and they made us feel so welcome. Food is high quality and well prepared, nicely portioned. Fast. All the people working there were genuinely nice and we enjoyed speaking with them. Seriously, this is the kind of experience we all want when going out. Thanks Scott’s seafood!

What happened? It was once an elegant place with excellent food. It has become a cramped and noisy food mill. That would be fine (there is a place in the world for ‘spaghetti factories’) but lose the high prices. Octopus chewy. Sole so covered in batter and sauce i could taste the fish. Scallops one was gritty one was on the verge of spoiled none of them were properly seared. And as for the dish as a whole, I should have known better from the description. Pesto, dried tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, proscuitto. Way too busy, but maybe that was by design all those competing flavors to cover up the taste of bad scallops.

Five stars all around for our first experience. Everything was great! We got the grilled oysters for an appetizer and I loved them. I asked our server which soup she liked more, and she actually recommended mixing them (crab bisque and clam chowder) which I never would have thought of, so I said “let’s do it!”. It was delicious! Highly recommend. I also got the poke nachos and they were amazing, the ahi was so fresh and there was a lot of it. Our server, Jinnelle, was wonderful and so fun, and she was very helpful with all of our questions and indecisiveness. Great place for a date night, we will definitely be back!

First: Our server, Aura, was servicing 2 large parties including another table. She was still attentive to us. She provided great feedback on the menu and provided personal preferences. We had an individual with allergies and she was able to provide alternative options on the spot.

Second: Our food was absolutely amazing. Seriously.. amazing.. very vert random. But even the cherry is my Old Fashioned was the best I’ve ever had. I highly recommend the Ribeye too❤️.. this place is a MUST!!
