The food is OUTSTANDING!!!! I’ve been going here for over 20 years. It’s the BEST Jamaican food in the area. The staff has been the same staff for years. They may not know all their customers’ names… but you would never know that based on the way they interact with everyone. The curry chicken, plantain beef patties, and chicken soup are my absolute FAVORITE DISHES.

Loved it all. Red pea soup, catfish fritter and pound cake. Perfect Left me warm and full. Ladies behind the counter patient and accommodating.

This little outpost of the original Scott’s is always on our agenda if we are around the Hartford area. Cannot beat their beef patties! We always get several because you can’t stop eating one once you have started. Perfection!

I grew up in Ct went to church with the Scotts grew up eating fresh patty and cocoa bread after school; so, when I came home to visit my mom, I wanted a patty. I was disappointed and sadden by the poor taste and quality of the food. I order a veggie patty, and fried whiting; the patty was lukewarm, bready, and the veggies were overcooked (it did not taste good at all). The fried whiting was also overcooked, dry and cold. What saddens me is with the high cost of food I had to throw it all away; none of the food was edible. Mr. Scott God rest his soul; would not be happy with the quality of food the restaurant is servicing. What’s even more troubling is we are servicing our own community poor quality of food. I will never go back:(

They arent as good as they were 10 years ago. The original owners sold it and the new OWNER keeps the cocoa bread from the previous day and sells the next. This is COMPLETELY WRONG. I went in there at 11:30 for lunch,I ordered a soup and a coco bread. The bread was hard AF,I returned it and told the cashier this is unacceptable and that I will never return to this place.
I returned 2 weeks later to give them another try and the results were the same so I banned this place for life.

Food is ok, not anything superb. Customer sevice is horrible. The lady serving the food was looking at me with a strict face. Why? I don’t know. Everytime I ask a question about something, she gets mad and have an attitude. No bun and cheese. Fish fritter greaser than ever. The carrot juice was spoil. It’s always hot in there, not enough vents. I will not be going back there ever.

Horrible,Horrible, Horrible experience. Bad customer service. Will take my money some place else. The workers argue right in front of customers. Francine laugh at a young men because his card decline. They also talk bad about there customers. There was another occasion where I came with my daughter and they were saying jokes and talking bad about a customer bleaching there skin. My child, customers and I shouldn’t be hearing this conversations when ordering food. These workers needs to be fired. After hearing all these negativity while ordering food on more than one occasion. I will no longer be returning, and will tell friends and families to ban Scott’s Jamaican Bakery. We’re all human, and human have feelings. Treat others the way you want to be treated .
