Over 10 years of buisness here. At one point the food was solid, staff were friendly. Long time since then!
Every time I order from here the food is minimal, and bland. I understand how a review like this can effect a buisness completely. As a buisness, Do better plain and simple. Years of ” well damn we got scotto’s as an option” ordering food in which just never get what you pay for. On top of that and the worst part is the staff ” the guys” always gotta have something to say, always a whatever type of attitude.
Tonight I am posting a picture of 2 “whole” cheesesteak hoagie.
1 from Dj’s out in Curwensville ( $11 whole ), they other from here at scottos ($10 whole)
I live 2 blocks from scottos
Ordered scottos 1st at 5:57pm ( Thursday night ) ( 20-30 minute told wait )
Ordered djs 2nd at 5:59pm ( same night lol ) ( 15-20 minute told wait )
Tell me how I left my place at 6:12pm headed to Curwensville ( 11 minutes each way ) to Dj’s for pickup, arrived food done ready to go.
Headed back to Clearfield to scottos, arrived and mu neice went in to grab the other cheesesteak. 5 minutes of waiting i look inside to see ” the guys” laughing about while my neice stand patiently waiting. Gave it a few more minutes and went inside as it’s now 6:50 I checked what time I called. I wasn’t pissed but annoyed that the single one thing as simple as a cheesesteak took this long and still wasn’t done. I said aloud to my niece its been an hour basically, whoever behind the counter with an arrogant attitude asked if they could help. I stated the long wait with no in store customers, 2 slips hanging up, and the fact i ordered from another place the next town over. Drove there picked up food, and back and food still wasn’t done.
Didn’t get an answer, apology or anything as the girl wrapped up the cheesteak hands it over. All I got was a smirk, a laugh, and a “yup have a goodnight”
Same ole simple lazy attitude.
I often remember when ordering out in stay clear, but every now and then ill place and order and every time it’s been the same thing. Your not the only option Scottos, no I don’t have to order from you guys. I won’t, plain and simple I ordered a whole sub from both places for ultimately the same price. Scottos was half of djs whole. Step your game up, yeah this is a small town. It’s 2026 I know im not the only one. Reviews like this are needed sometimes. I know for myself ill take the drive, go the distance where im not dealing with whatever is left of the place.

Would have given a much better rating if they had more compassionate and honest people. Placed order was told 45 minutes. Called after hour and a half was told to call back in 30 minutes if I didn’t receive my order. I called back and was told the driver was just leaving to bring my order. I was never told sir for wait or offered anything to compensate. My food would have been 4star worthy if it was warm but showed up cold. I am not one to leave negative reviews but this is the second not good experience with scottos

Very tasty and fresh! They allowed us to do toppings selections on each half of the pizza despite only being a medium pizza which was very nice. We had pepperoni and chicken bacon ranch (which was so delicious!) and pepperoni rolls. The dough was clearly freshly baked and yummy. They had a cute little ice machine despite not having fountain sodas which we much appreciated, as their AC was struggling to offset both the high heat outside and the pizza oven. Such a great find, would definitely go back. Wish I had gotten a salad, saw them making them for takeout orders as we waited, they looked good.
