Scotia Curry absolutely blew me away.
Every dish was deeply flavorful, thoughtfully balanced, and unforgettable. The cuisine is Indian, with a Northern Indian influence that leans beautifully close to Nepalese food—rich, aromatic, and comforting without being heavy. You can immediately taste the quality of the ingredients and the care behind each dish; this is food that lingers in your memory long after the meal is over.
We ordered the vegetarian biryani, aloo baingan (eggplant and potato), saag paneer (spinach), and Bombay aloo (potato) and garlic naan, and every single item was executed perfectly. The biryani was fragrant and layered with spice, the eggplant and potato dishes were tender and deeply satisfying, and the garlic naan was fresh, warm, and ideal for soaking up every last bit of sauce.
The service was wonderful—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming—which only elevated the experience further. This is the kind of restaurant that leaves an impression not just because the food is excellent, but because everything feels intentional.

I’ve been here 3-4 times now and every time I’ve gone, I’ve been greeted by warm and inviting staff, including the owner. The service is always laid back but professional, and the food is outstanding. Their sauces, the naan, and the overall layering of flavors all stand out. I’ve gotten the momos (both the chicken and veggie steamed momos are very good, and the cashew-y sauce they serve with it is fantastic) and the whole tandoori chicken every time I go. The chicken is always perfectly cooked and I always have enough left to take with me for a second meal. The mint chutney is memorably good. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Lunenburg area. Highly recommend!

The food was amazing, the service was amazing, and the location was charming and cozy. Our only issue was choosing from all the delicious options on the menu. We will have to drive 1.5 hours to come back but it will be worth it!

Scotia curry was delicious! I was there with my family and we all loved it – including my 8 and 11 year old kids who especially loved the tandoori chicken, butter chicken, naan, an mango lassi. This restaurant is great – A must-visit!
We also ordered aloo gobi, vegetable curry, goat curry, vegetable biryani and had to try the butter chicken poutine – which was all too much food but worth it and the leftovers are a bonus. Each dish was delicious – I’d order it all again!
The waitstaff were friendly and the atmosphere was tasteful.
Also a great location at the edge of commercial Lunenburg. Nice view out the large windows.

My wife and I finally made it to a Scotia Curry location (Lunenburg) and left hugely impressed on all accounts. The best East Indian meal we have had in a long, long time with excellent table service.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. It wasn’t very busy (we were at an off-time in the middle of a work day). The food was phenomenal I definitely recommend!! We had samosas to start and then butter chicken, rice, and naan bread. The serving sizes are generous and definitely enough to fill you if you come in starving!
