We still dream about that softshell crab club sandwich; we highly recommend Scotch Lodge. We enjoyed our dinner experience to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The staff was extremely gracious in assisting us with selecting rare and desirable whiskies, as well as delectable menu items like crudo, housemade soup and sharable appetizers. Our table, one direction was a library bookshelves, one way overlooked a chef prep area, allowing us to observe the meticulous craft involved in creating handcrafted cuisine. The space is beautiful with low lighting. Very intimate.
It is evident why they have received a James Beard Award nomination. A must visit!

An absolutely amazing experience. The Scotch Lodge is tucked away and not clearly marked, but the moment you step inside, you’re met with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The wait staff are exceptional—friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. If you’re in the mood for a drink, they have it. The cocktails are top-shelf and expertly crafted by a skilled mixologist—I could have easily had several. The food was just as impressive: exceptional and clearly award-worthy. I will absolutely be back.

We came to quietly celebrate my birthday, the food was great, the cocktails were delicious and the flight was a perfect note. We enjoyed kind and attentive service.
We sat at the bar in front of the open kitchen. That was a treat to see them work and create wonderful plates for patrons.
The cocktails are the hook in the song of plates of delicious food. We had whipped rigatoni with delicious bread and wagyu tartare. Everything tasted delicious and they didn’t make me feel bad for ordering a scotch flight after having a cocktail.
You get what you pay for here, a friendly unpretentious, delicious meal with wonderful drinks.

10/10 EXPERIENCE!!! I came here mainly to check out some of their interesting food items and grab a quick drink or two. Gotta say I was blown away by how amazing everything tasted here. Service was really great, helpful, and lightning quick. Food has gotta be hands down some of the best I’ve ever had. The twists on traditional dishes were all executed to PERFECTION.
Oysters were a must and I can say I’ve never had oysters served that way but it was incredible. Wagyu tartare was so flavorful and rich that I was scraping the plate at the end for more. And finally the panna cotta was the perfect ending adding a delicious light strawberry finish that wasn’t too sweet but so good.
Would HIGHLY recommend all 3 as they’re all 10/10 in my experience.
Definitely make your way over here because the drinks are also amazing and they have other options that aren’t whiskey/scotch as well. Next time I’m in town I’m definitely coming here again!!

Had a super enjoyable evening at Scotch Lodge. came on a Friday night as a walk-in and was able to sit bar top without any wait. The service was excellent and they provided excellent scotch recommendations to create a really nice and balanced flight. We shared the panna cotta, which was just simply delicious. I’ve been there before and have had other food items and everything blew me away. Definitely a must go and perfect for small parties.

Thank you for a lovely evening. Great vibe, perhaps a little too dark. Delicious food, great service, knowledgeable server, and wonderful scotch flights. This was a great date night celebrating my husband’s birthday.

One of the best meals I’ve had in Portland! Every bite and sip was incredible. Would highly recommend the Sinners and Saints cocktail, fried Brie, whipped ricotta, and Jimmy Nardello peppers! We sat at the kitchen counter, which I probably wouldn’t do again, just because your back is to the restaurant, so you don’t really see the awesome vibe/decor. 100% will be back!

We’ve been wanting to check this place out for a while. Each time we drive by there’s a line, so we skip trying to find a parking spot and try again later. Well, there’s a reason for the line; not only is their collection of scotch crazy, but their food is transcendent. We had both the daikon and prosciutto platters and… daikon: beautiful presentation, on ice like a platter of oysters, deliciously seasoned with a large portion of tangy sauce in the middle. Prosciutto di Parma: again an amazing presentation, large portion (plenty!) of the best you’ve had, sliced by the main dude just moments before, on a delicous sauce, lightly scattered with spices, and garnished with lovely flower petals. Be sure to get some Ken’s baguette to mop up those sauces and dressings! Okay, this place gets added to rotation, reservations recommended! (Btw, pic is half our daikon platter…we just started in earnest and forgot to take the pic;)

Really fun whiskey bar – highly recommend sitting at the chefs counter.
We already had eaten, but wished we had saved some room. It was such a treat to be so close to the action at the counter. We were highly intrigued by a slushy topped oyster plater we saw ordered a few times. Everything they were preparing looked so delicious.
We had the cocktail special for two and then I got their love and fury cocktail while my boyfriend tried a bourbon.
The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. It almost felt like drinks and a show with how efficient the action in the kitchen was.
Really fun spot of a date night or grabbing drinks with a friend. Dark but cozy space, that’s perfect for a rainy day escape.

Scotch Lodge is an absolute gem! The ambiance is moody and sophisticated; perfect for a night out. The drinks were masterfully crafted, but the food really stole the show.
That creamy ricotta dish was incredibly delicious and easily the highlight of the meal. Highly recommend if you’re looking for top-tier cocktails and food in a wonderful setting!
