I frequent this place because it’s conveniently located near my workplace. Recently, I’ve been having a series of frustrating experiences. First, I’ve been met with attitude at the drive-through, and my drinks have never been made correctly. Even when I ask for specific drinks, they’re never consistent. For example, my usual protein smoothie or my regular hot caramel breve with an extra shot of espresso are never the same. And even when I ask for extra flavor in my normal iced drinks like iced matcha or iced chai, there’s still no flavor. It’s frustrating and disappointing.

I typically love scooters but hoping for answers. I ordered on the app for Indianola. I arrived a few minutes later at 12:56. The parking lot was blocked off. I pulled over in a near by parking lot and tried to call but no answer. There was a lady sitting in the vehicle in the parking lot. I honked thinking she could tell me what is going on but she looked up at me and back to her phone. I’ve been trying to call every little bit thinking this was some weird way of closing for lunch but I’m still not getting an answer and I obviously didn’t get the drink I paid for.

I am an avid scooter drinker – DAILY! I order the same drink at my location daily and never have any issues. But for whatever reason this location messes my coffee up every time then the staff tries to make me feel dumb like I shouldn’t be complaining. I stopped there two days ago ordered my drink paid extra for extra drizzle and when I got it barely any! I questioned it after she handed it to me and everyone in there said yes extras drizzle. I drove away took a couple drinks and it wasn’t what I asked for. Called & they replaced it – still no extra drizzle in the cup. Whatever I went on it was getting late. It his afternoon I was in the same area so I stopped hoping it would be better this go. I worded my order differently this time – carmelicious xtra shot expresso, xtra thick & xtra drizzle IN THE CUP instead of just xtra drizzle. Get to the window now only is there NO drizzle in the cup whatsoever it was almost completely liquified. I asked her if there was drizzle and she laughed and said oh it must have gotten stirred in? There was a line wrapped around the building so I didn’t want to hold it up. I might call but can’t help but be worried I will be treated the same way as last time.
Listen I wouldn’t care if for one this wasn’t my treat to myself every week. This is what I splurge on. And for 2 I PAY for the extra drizzle ($0.60 before tax) so to not get it it’s frustrating. For 3 – these aren’t cheap! $8.60/coffee – I go to scooters because it’s good but also because I can ask it to be made how I like it!

I pulled in right before close. I get it not the best to move but I had had a rough day and I really needed a coffee and the open sign was still on. I looked at my clock and I still had 2 minutes. I was like okay. I feel like a jerk but it’s been a day they refused to serve me. And weren’t very polite about it at all.

Mistakenly made my drink into a medium when I payed for a large. When I brought this issue up they simply took the medium coffee, put it into a large cup, and added ice. I did not pay $6.58 for a medium iced mocha with extra ice.

Good product sometimes. Ottumwa Iowa staff isn’t friendly or happy anytime your there. Service leavs something to be desired. Sometimes you don’t get what you order.

“Yeah I know!” worker tells me as I mention how a worker is parked in handicap space and an elderly lady came in with placard and struggled to park. Not to mention they obviously messed up the order of the car in front of us and messed up our order. Must be nice to run a business like this and have no need for showing respect or diligence.

I got a turtle blender coffee? It was really good! Also bought my kids the birthday cake bites which were tasty.
I’ve gotten a sandwich at this location in the past as well.
I’ve only been here 2 or 3 times in the past year or so, but each experience has been good. The workers are friendly and very helpful if you don’t know much about different coffee options.

I always order a triple shot of espresso and the same amount of steamed milk. This morning, I got an XL cup filled with more than a half with milk. I cannot drink it, there is no coffee taste, just milk. Since I did not have time this morning to ask for another one I will come back during my break. This is not the first time. Why is it so hard to make a triple shot espresso with the same amount of milk???

Stopped to get coffee and a cookie today. The young girl who served us was very rude and impatient while waiting for us to decide what we wanted to order, and again when giving us our order. The cookie we received, while normally is covered in chocolate chips and warm and gooey was cold, hard and barely had chocolate chips. She also had attitude when we asked for a receipt. I will not be returning to this location, it is not the service I am accustomed to when visiting Scooter’s.
