My young son bought an ice cream here and hated the taste of it. He came back to the restaurant we were eating at and my wife called immediately and said we wanted to return it for another flavor and they agreed swap it. We were eating dinner in Sewickley, so we came back 30 minutes later to return it and the kids running the place told us they wouldn’t take it back, as we waited too long. Well, we waited a little while, but don’t say you will swap it out, then go back on it when we get there. It’s not like he ate it or anything, as we showed them the soupy ice cream that he didn’t eat. Guess I won’t ever be going back. Not very understanding and bad customer service.

As someone who is dairy free it’s disappointing because they only ever have one dairy free flavor and it’s always cookies and cream. I know the employees have asked the owner for other flavors or to at least rotate the ONE available but they said he refused. That said, I know it’s an ice cream store and my kids love it and the employees are kind.

We loved coming to the old Sewickley Confectionery before Scoops bought it. That being said, we love that Scoops has fresh made waffle cone’s they are delicious…but the last two times we’ve been they ran out 🙁 They could also benefit from a third person working on busy nights the line gets long. The fresh paint and few upgrades are nice. They still have some of the old local treats like the English muffins but no more milk or meat. Overall it’s a fine ice cream place but I’m not sure we’ll come as often.

My husband got Cider Mill ice cream and I had Graham Central, both were delicious! This ice cream was the more fluffier ice creams we’ve had. We’re so glad we tried this place. So worth it.
