I’ve never been so disappointed in ice cream as it’s very hard to mess up. However, Scoops ice cream tastes like watery sugar. I’d rather eat a generic brand of ice cream from a grocery store then stop by here again.

It had been a long time since I returned to my hometown and I had been really excited to go to Scoops since it was Wilton’s classic staple ice cream shop. I had many memories there and felt the nostalgia when I saw the Scoops sign with the papers explaining what Swamp and Mud are. I was a bit disappointed when I entered the shop at the way I was treated by the owner there. She made me feel that it was inconvenient that I was there wanting to try some flavors while also informing about my allergies. I was surprised and disappointed. It took away from the nostalgic experience I was looking for and would appreciate a friendlier, warmer welcome if I return.

Ice cream was freezer burnt. Came with two other people who got different flavors and theirs was unfortunately the same. Big disappointment. I know it’s the winter, but come on. Didn’t complain because would have hated to take it out on the teenage girl who was the only one working. 🙁
