I highly recommend the Pork Chops… not only do you get two, but they were huge and so tenderly delicious! I also highly recommend the Chocolate Mousse cake… was very lite and just the right amount of sweetness. My only critique is that the bread could have been a bit fresher.

This place was so cute and quaint. It’s a little spot but everyone is so nice. We decided fo try this place on a whim and was just really craving good Italian….. they usually require a reservation, but they were nice and was able to fit us in.
The portion sizes were huge and the food was just as good! The chicken was so flavorful and the ingredients I could tell were fresh. They also provide bread and rolls and my son loved them.
The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive and I will be back!

Monica was the absolute worst server either me or my wife have ever had in our lives. We’ve received better service at a McDonald’s in the hood. That’s how bad it was too have the misfortune of being served by Monica. She should be immediately let go.
My wife and I stopped in last week, the food was great, a little on the cold side so obviously she was too distracted to get it from the window in a timely manner, that would have been one thing… except the service was absolutely terrible otherwise the entire visit.
We had to ask another server where our server even was more than once. It took twenty minutes to even be able to get our server to place drink and appetizer order. We asked what had taken so long, and she was nothing but rude to us about how servers are busy people. Which my wife as a past server understands, but it’s the way she said it. Made me ask her if we could just get another server to which she said there’s no other server with an open table right now, so it looks like im stuck with you. There clearly were open tables in the resteraunt. Our drinks took another 15 minutes and we’re brought with the appetizer, yet were the wrong drinks entirely and wrong appetizer entirely. Another 20 minutes of waiting for the correct ones. The experience, her attitude, and the severity of her comments only get worse and worse as the meal went on. We’d asked for a manager towards the end and we’re told they had to leave for an emergency, and won’t be back for at least an hour if we wanted to pay and get up to move to the bar we could wait. Which was absolutely ridiculous. We’re asking for the manager because of you and you want us to vacate your table so you can treat someone else just as badly while we wait for them to address your issues after we’ve already paid? This meal should have been free after all the problems we’d encountered with Monique. She didn’t even bring us back the correct credit card when I did pay. She went to look for my card, and told me she must have given it to another table who already left without realizing but assured me the bill was put on the right card. I had to call and cancel it when we left, and there was already a $500 charge to sephora.com and a $850 charge to Victoria secret.com by the time id gotten hold of them. These charges were all time stamped for before id even been given back the wrong credit card. Anyone who’s ever had this server, please check your credit card statements and call the police if you noticed any discrepancies after leaving this resteraunt because they tell me to take it up with the credit card company until they hear $3,000+ of complaints they can’t arrest her.
I literally felt repetitively abused by Monica like I was her personal whipping boy.
We will not be returning while she still darkens their doorway.

One of my favorite dining places. Wide variety of menu items, and daily specials. Wait staff is terrific and the menu items have always been cooked to perfection. They have the best chicken Romano in the city. I love their chicken Valdosta and their chicken parmesan is legendary.

This well-known restaurant moved locations a few months ago and now occupies this space. A group of us decided to give it a try and see if it’s as good as its reputation and the online reviews we’ve seen. We all know the space it’s in as we have visited in under the various guises it’s been in the past years. Unlike the last two restaurants that occupied this space, the new owners took over more square footage and used the extra area to expand the dining area as well as add a semi-private area for larger parties. The décor was freshened up and a large name sign highlights one of the walls. The bar is where it was and appears to specialize in Bourbons as the menu mentions that they have over 100 bottles.
The menu features a collection of standard American-Italian dishes with a few divergences. For instance, they do not have a Vodka sauce since they cheekily announce that Vodka is for drinking! They do offer two specials every night. On our visit, one of the specials was a Salmon dish which one of our party members tried, so we were exposed to a special as well – although all the rest of us tried things from the regular menu.
Service was rather “relaxed.” We spent over two hours in the place with rather lengthy gaps between the various stages: from arrival to drink orders … from getting drinks to ordering food … getting appetizers … getting the entrees … getting our checks …. Waiting to get our receipts. The place was relatively full, but not completely, so I guess that one seating a night was all they really wanted.
As to the food. Well, it was OK. Some dishes were good, some were okay. None were exceptional and none were bad. There were some mistakes made in the kitchen and I’ll start with those. The Chicken Marsala that we always order (because it is such a standard and easy dish to prepare. If an Italian restaurant does not do a good job on that, they should not be in that business!), had a decent tasting sauce that did taste like Marsala wine, but it was too runny, the chicken was slightly overcooked (i.e. rubbery), and the mushrooms were added at the end, so they did not incorporate the flavors. Those are pretty major problems for a standard dish. The Herb Risotto could have used a few more minutes in the pot as it was still chewy. The dinner salad was a basic set of greens, with one tomato chunk – very boring. The good news about the salad was that it was not overdressed and the light balsamic dressing tasted good.
As for the better stuff, the Eggplant Parmesan was done very well with crispy slices slice of eggplant in a tasty sauce. The Fresh Tomato sauce on Spaghetti was redolent with basil and garlic. The Pastina soup was very flavorful and obviously simmered for a long time. The Zucchini plan appetizers were done right: thin planks of zucchini; not too thickly breaded; and not greasy at all.
The other dishes were just OK. The Salmon special was nothing special; the same could be said about the penne with marinara sauce and the shrimp.
Surprisingly given the bar discussing how many bourbons they have; the wine list was limited to seven offerings with no prices. All of them are California wines. Where were the Italian wines? That was disappointing.
Summing our experience, while it was a decent place, there are far better places at this price point in this general vicinity.

So many good things to say about this restaurant. Scoglio’s moved from their Greentree location to Pine Bridge Commons, which is all remodeled has a wonderful atmosphere and a great Upper Saint Clair location. Besides the convenient location and renovation, both the food and service is impeccable. A large menu with daily specials is available. We enjoyed a large group Christmas party which went absolutely perfect. The service we received from our server Kevin was top notch, thank you Kevin for making it a memorable event. We visit restaurants for the food first and foremost…….Scogio’s has that nailed down. The atmosphere, location and service is icing on the cake.

We had an enjoyable dinner here. They have a massive seating area which was packed on a Saturday night. Reservations recommended. Service was good even though the place was packed. The fried zuchinni was excellent – thinly sliced, light coating and crispy. I got the chicken parm – which was just as good. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the breading was not overwhelming or soggy. I really enjoyed it. Overall a good experience

Loved the Greentree location so much,therefore, we decided to try the new location for my husband ‘s birthday..The food was fair.The quality of the food did not match the price point.Other than that ,we decided to take our dessert home and had to discard my favorite coconut cream pie .it smelled like sour milk..My husband’s birthday dessert was all dried out..I was so disappointed. It was definitely past the date and should have never been served to your customers. Our bill was well over 500$ .we had 6adults and 4 children and no one was very impressed..

This quaint little restaurant is a hidden gem in Greentree offering some of the best pasta dishes in all of Pittsburgh.
Our server, James, made the whole dining experience even more pleasant with his excellent service, attentiveness and suggestions.
We started with wine to kick off the night & it was perfect! The salad came next & was so fresh & simple with a delicious house dressing – we even loved the assortment of rolls he brought out.
If you love fried zucchini- Scoglio’s are the best, so thin & crispy & served with the best horseradish dip.
My main course was Angel hair pasta with fresh marinara sauce- that was out of this world delicious! The portion was huge so I took most of it home & it was just the as good the next day.
All in all, one of the best birthday dinners I’ve ever had, the atmosphere, food and service were next level.
