This is a Rome Staple. It’s been here many many years. I’m not 100% sure but I think it’s been bought out by a new owner as I can tell a difference in the pita. I always get either the Pita Tosh or Roast Beef Relief. Always good and still is but the pita bread has changed . It used to be thin and had a crunch but now it is thicker . Still has a good flavor and overall taste the same. Often we get humus or potato skins. The calzones are also good. Great place to grab lunch in a chill atmosphere and enjoy a cold beer .

I’ve been going to Schroeder’s since it was a lunch counter, way back in the day. I always loved the food, atmosphere, and people there. For a few years, it became sadly became hit-or-miss, as far as service and food quality go. I’m glad we decided to chance it today. It was good, even though they have changed the pita from the original, and it didn’t have the satisfying crunch I loved. My Pita Tosh was still very good and the potato skins were as yummy as ever. The best deli in Rome Georgia! Great beer selection, wonderful sandwiches, can even get a good slice of Pizza! I highly recommend trying it out if in downtown looking for. Good meal!

Been enjoying this joint since i was a freshman at Shorter in 1986. Had my first Roast Beef Relief in almost 20 years and it was still just as good as back then. John may have retired but the Schroeder legacy lives on proudly! Great place!

My experience at Schroder’s was easily one of the best experiences that I have had at a restaurant, as the customer service and food was top notch! My wife and I ate here for our anniversary and even met the owners, who treated us so well. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Rome!

Large family group. Our server was a real trooper and adapted to the our crowd. As far as food? So so. Nachos are just chips on a flat pan with cheese. My sandwich was ok, I can do better at home. Pizza, nothing special.

I have loved Schroeder’s for over 20 years, and I will still love it 20 years from now. It’s a staple in Rome, and if you grew up here then you probably grew up coming here. The pretzels alone are worth going.
