Have eaten at Schoops for many years. Today, I ordered a bacon double cheeseburger……for carryout. No fry or drink, just a burger. Total is almost $25!!! Barley any bacon or cheese on the burger.

Good food – actually came fast. Waitress was nice. Navy bean soup was excellent the fry’s and onion rings were so hot we had to wait for them to cool down before we could eat them

If I cld give zero stars on here I would. I came on Sunday night and ordered a milk shake to go with my burger and was brought what appeared to be a kiddie sized shake in a blue plastic tumbler and almost all the way melted down. On top of this, the burger I ordered was lacking any meat that it was mostly all bread and made a a standard McDonald’s single beef patty burger look massive compared to what was brought out to me. Now I understand why when I repeatedly drive by this location it is almost always empty compared to the Schereville location I normally go to.
Food was beyond lackluster and I totally recommend staying away from this location and instead try the one on US 30 in Schereville. A lot friendlier and most certainly a better aura when you walk in. The St John location doesn’t even taste like Schoop’s. Will never come into this restaurant ever again

Oh wow… I consider myself a Wimpy level burger aficionado and I was NOT disappointed today for a quick lunch! Our server was great, the food came out lightning fast and hot and it.was.AMAZING. The crispy ends… I’m from Texas and to cook meat WELL DONE is a SIN but Lord help me, if this is wrong, I don’t wanna be RIGHT! The loop fries were hot and delicious as well. I’ve been to two different Schoops in the area and THIS will be the location I visit every time I visit.

The burgers were delicious and the egg salad sandwich also. The soup was yummy too. Our waitress was attentive and very pleasant, despite the fact that she appeared to be working solo with just some kitchen help.

Stopped at this lil diner for lunch and wish I kept going down the road. Food was overpriced for the low quality. The French fries were under done, my chicken sandwich was definitely a frozen pattie and not a good one to boot. The atmosphere and service was great, just a shame the food missed the mark. 2/10 keep driving!

Region classic! very clean in dining area, staff was friendly and quick. (It was a slow day with few customers). Bathroom was relatively clean but could use some attention to be perfect. Food and service were as perfect as you can get!

I would call this the Ultimate Burger. First time there, and was served (take–out) the best old fashioned hamburgers ever. We didn’t know how big they were and ordered doubles – Oh my gosh, could not finish it and took it home for my dog who got a special treat. The onion rings were huge and very good – if you like old fashioned food like it used to be this is the place to go.
