Never heard of this place until today. Absolutely awesome! Onion Rings are a standout as is the Hamburger! Very tasty and filling. Definitely worth the drive for me (mini road trip , first time to the area) and I can’t wait to come back!! Service is awesome !!

Service was outstanding during my first visit. These girls hustle to get you your order so please tip them well, they are working hard d for you. The Grilled Chicken Salad was full of fresh vegetables, lettuce and chicken was tender, and moist. I will be back to try a burger, fries and a shake. I highly recommend Schoop’s in Crown Point.

Hadn’t been in the Region for a while and drove by a Schoops and was hungry so I had to stop. We’re seated and greeted immediately. Cherry coke, hamburger with all the fixings. Big basket of fries. There were six different pies for desert but we were too full. Still as good as ever!

Definitely don’t recommend this place to anyone. The food is usually way overcooked even the fries sad thing is it’s hard to screw up fried food and they do it everytime. Last time we were there little pieces of plastic or something like that was in my wife’s Irish nachos. The burgers were also way over done and half of us ended up with food poisoning. The service is very slow as well even with just 3 tables.

Crowned jewel of NW Indiana. One of my favorite restaurants in the area. I grew up with going to the one in Munster, but all of them serve great food. Their hamburgers are out of this world. Smashed and crispy on the edges. One of the best hamburgers on the planet! Great fries and onion rings too! They even have Green River on tap, so I always get it when I’m there. For dessert, if you’ve never tried one, a Green River shake is incredible! Enjoy!

Love me some Schoop’s. Nancy and the ladies are great and the food is quality.
The Mickey and soup is my go to for lunch. Their beef n barley is the best. If the soup of the day is not to your liking the onion rings are great. When with a pal, chili cheese fries or Irish nachos are the way to go.
Not all Schoop’s have breakfast, but their breakfast is good stuff as well.

It was like OMG. I had the mushroom and Swiss and my wife did the bacon burger and we had onion rings. I haven’t been able to eat a full burger in a couple years due to stomach shrinking. I ate that whole huge burger a d finished the rings. Awesome!
