The food was excellent and our server was very accommodating and professional. We were with a large party celebrating my mother’s birthday, and we reserved tables inside and upstairs. It was incrediblely warm even with the air conditioning running. Everyone was sweating by the time we left.

Even though it was a little cool for this time of year, we wanted to give Schooner’s a try. This will be a great spot for Huntington dining once the weather improves a little more.
The service was good. Our server was Bella. She was prompt, attentive, and knew the menu well. The food was good. We started with the Crab Dip and had Crab Cakes and Salmon for entrees. All dishes were tasty.

My wife and I love finding new places to eat and thought we had seen them all. But this place was fantastic. The food was awesome and the atmosphere was off the chart. Seeing the boats come up the river and dock right in front of the restaurant reminded me of a coastal town. We got the bruschetta for an appetizer. It was a little different as we had never had it with a sweet sauce drizzled over it. Then we got the fish and chips. The fries were seasoned perfectly and the fish would melt in your mouth.

We wanted a nice but different experience for our Anniversary & just chill in between a storm rolling by. We were greeted immediately by a sweet host & sat where we requested. It was chilly so we asked to sit in a warmer space. They moved us to wherever we wished. Very accommodating!
Our Server was Jessica-she treated us like gold! We ordered Catfish Fritters with a nice remoulade. Then a Caesar Salad that was very tasty & finished with Crab Cakes! Great ambiance inside & out. Live Music was setting up for the Annual Burn your socks & welcome flip flops party! Great place to dock your boat & grab a bite! Super convenient to the interstate & the Ironton/Proctorville OH area! Enjoy your experience on the Ohio River on an actual boat! There were some available docking spaces around but not sure if gasoline is nearby. See you at Schooners!

The atmosphere of this place is just incredible. It’s located right on the banks of the Ohio River, and the view is simply stunning. As I enjoyed my meal, I couldn’t help but glance out at the serene beauty of the river. The whole place had a laid-back vibe, and the music playing in the background, including some Dave Matthews Band classics, just added to the overall relaxing ambiance. It was the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a great meal.
The service at Schooners was top-notch. The server I had was attentive and really went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. She was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, and she even provided some excellent recommendations. I felt well taken care of throughout the entire dining experience.

We went here for the first time this evening & wanted to like it but however I will not be returning. We ordered bacon cheddar fry appetizer & the fries were very greasy. I had the shrimp skewer & the peppers still had seeds on them & nothing seemed to be seasoned. My husband had the Philly steak & he said it was okay but not worth $17.50, his side was hush puppies which had no flavor. I love hush puppies & these tasted like burnt cornbread rolls. My daughter had a cheeseburger & she said that was really good, other than they didn’t slice up the onion & tomatoes very well so it was hard to use on the burger. The service was very slow & didn’t even check on us. For a $90 dinner I’m disappointed.
