Absolutely fantastic, fresh, flaky and perfect Fish and Chips. Cole slaw was made fresh with a delicious base. Fries were perfect and they provided quite a few sauces and vinegars.
Seating and view was tremendous right on the waterfront overlooking the Umpqua River at Reedport.
Service was friendly and fast. The folks next to us raved about their sirloin burgers. Definitely will be back.

I couldn’t have picked a nicer day to sit out on the patio at the schooner Café overlooking the river. No difference if your inside or outside? It’s a fantastic and majestic view.
The service was excellent my server was right on the spot to take my order and fill my drinks.
The food was a little disappointing as the clam chowder was not as thick and rich as I would prefer. It was tasty and full of clams and potatoes. I had the fish and chips, and I would’ve liked the fish batter to be a little crisper, as it was soft, almost the point of being soggy. The fish itself was tasty and tender and flaky.
If I’m in the area again, I certainly would give this place another try.

Very wonderful quiet place. Whether you eat inside or enjoy the tables outside near the river, the service was great and the food was excellent, one of the best places to eat on the coast. Stacy, our waitress, was friendly and attentive. We have already been back for lunch ….if you are going to be in Reedsport, put this restaurant on your list of places to go!

I couldn’t be happier with my hearty lunch with a nice view in a beautiful day. I had the special which included an half beefeater sandwich, a cup of clam chowder, and salad. All three were delicious. The salad had a good variety of vegetables and was flavorful. The staff was attentive and kind. Strongly recommend it.

Got the “Famous Clam chowder” in a sour dough bread boll. It’s was pretty good, first place I’ve been able to find in Oregon that does bread bowls. It was pretty well priced and filled me up good, beautiful area and scenery. Right of the river, cool summer breaze and nice outdoor seating. Our waiter nice and friendly and helpful! Forgot to take a photo of what the Clam chowder looked before I ate it lol

FABULOUS FISHHOUSE
Schooner’s is a hidden gem in Reedsport. The perfect place to park your trailer or RV while you have a wonderful meal with a view of the Umpqua river. In the summer, they have outdoor tables with umbrellas and about half of them are tables where well-behaved dogs are allowed. The indoor sun porch is also a good spot to enjoy the good grub with a view.
SERVICE
Stacey was a fantastic host and very attentive. She gave me a complimentary refill on my Diet Coke and was quick to take our order.
FOOD
– Dungeness Crab Cocktail ($16): Good amount of crab for the price and served with tasty cocktail sauce. More leg meat would’ve been appreciated, but it’s silly to be fussy.
– Clam Chowder Bread Bowl ($11): Nice amount of clam meat in the soup and decent flavor. The sourdough bowl is one of Franz’s finest products and I was impressed to learn they deliver restaurants these bowls.
– Fish & Chips ($16): I appreciate a good hand-battered F&C for sure and these are about a 7 on the Fischcter Scale. Bigger pieces would’ve been appreciated and the fry was easy to fall off. The housemade tartar is wonderful and the perfect accompaniment to this coastal standby…

What a beautiful place to eat lunch right on the river. The day we went the weather was perfect and it was some beautiful scenery! The food is well prepared and very tasty with good portion size. Another must try.
