Super unique antique school house made into s family style comfort food home cooking restaurant. Fried chicken is their specialty but the all you can eat sides steal the show. Prefect green beans with bits of ham. Mashed potatoes like grandma made them. Perfectly moist corn bread, and soft roasted baby carrots.

We also ordered the corn fritters which were super filling and extra sweet tasting.

I went with the baked Haddock and it wasn’t anything special but good northerly nonetheless. We took hole plenty of left overs and we’ll certainly be back to try all the other main dishes!

Cute place with a fun ambiance. We did a 4pm dinner on a weeknight and only 2 others tables were there. The menu is written on a chalkboard at the front of the room and all the sides are served on a lazy-susan for all to share at the table. I wasn’t prepared for how expensive it was going to be and I was on a ticket by myself. But the food was pretty good and the place has been on our bucket list to visit for years.

Such a cute idea/place, beautiful building, Bri was amazing taking care of us, and the food was great… it’s way better if you come with a group because the portions are big and yummy.

Come here for the experience not the food it was really low quality and expensive $22 for bland over cooked grilled chicken, $20 for a double burger, then one hot dog and 3 sodas for $65. Tipped 20% because it wasn’t the servers fault. I would come back for the experience not for the food. Salad was bad, seemed like canned green beans and instant mashed potatoes. Servers were very nice and friendly the grounds were neat. This was probably some of the worst overpriced food I have eaten in long time. The general store is cool and the school house is too.

Schoolhouse Restaurant was on our list to visit for a number of years and we finally made it. We were not disappointed. Food was plentiful and delicious, servers were friendly. You order individual protein (fried chicken, beef and gravy, country fried steak, salmon, fried cod, meatloaf, pork chops, etc) and then they bring all you can eat family style vegetables and salad to the table. Although they have big portions it does get pricy, plan on $30 a person for meal and beverage, more if you get appetizer or dessert.

I luv this little place. The food is always delicious and worth the wait for fresh hot food. The table had grilled chicken, fried chicken, the bone in pork chops, and the sirloin. The sides were bountiful. Our server forgot our fried green tomatoes and waters for the table. However she accommodated with a very sweet birthday dessert. The whole dining area sang. The goats were out and they’re hilarious. Great time had by all. Thank you for a great night!

Interesting experience. We have been meaning to come here for years. Cool historical landmark. The food was ok. The batter could use more flavor. The chicken was dry. The fried pickles were good. Our server was very hurried even though they only had 3 tables and there was no wait or a full dining room. They managed to refill drinks but forgot a few things like our corn bread. I can’t really say we will go back but I think it is worth going once.

This is one such restaurant where Its all about the experience and the history . The general store has good collection of antique goods. Feeding the goat is an add on fun. Salmon and coleslaw were our top favorites.

We were the second table seated after they opened. There were 5 other tables that came in after us. All 5 tables received their food before we did. There were 4 people in our party. The 3 others received their food 45 minutes after we were seated. It took a total of 55 minutes for me to receive my salmon. Not sure what happened. I do feel there was a total lack of prioritizing when the food was delivered to the tables in the order in which they were seated. I can understand 1 or 2 tables being delivered prior to ours, but not 5. The food was good and the waitress was more than friendly. They did give me a piece of pie for my trouble.
