We got reservations for around 10 people the same day we were planning to visit. They called to confirm what kind of seating do we prefer. Parking in the area might be an issue. The place itself is very big, has pool table, small dance floor and good music. After 9, the place turns into a crowded bar with people dancing on the dance floor. Food and alcohol menu are limited but good food and drinks altogether. Definitely a place to go and chill with group of friends.

We recently hosted a team dinner here at scholars and were very impressed by both the service and food. The entire team enjoyed their drinks and the ability to choose from their menu. Our servers were very attentive to our large 20 person party and I will definitely be bringing the team back when we schedule another outing. Flank stank was great especially paired with a. My school has hosted here but I’ve never gone so I decided to check it out tonight because it looked quiet. It was quiet which was nice, it’s a Monday so that’s to be expected. It’s very nice inside, and decorated very nicely for Christmas. Hostess was nice and I sat at the bar and bartender was good too. I got the fried chicken sandwich, it was okay, it didn’t have much flavor and was hard to eat as a sandwich, but it was quite a big portion. Would love to go back again and try something different as they did have a lot of things on the menu that looked really good.

Stopped in with colleagues for a night cap. The atmosphere is great. The music wasn’t loud so we could have conversation. The bartender was attentive and friendly. The drinks were tasty. Enjoyed our time and will be back.

Our server was very knowledgeable and very nice! Asked for a medium rare burger and it came out charred and well done. The wings were okay. The Cactus Makes Perfect drink was very good. Pool tables were cool, but felt like $15 per hour is kinda expensive for pool.

Bartender screamed at me, took my drink and had me escorted out of the bar when I didn’t tip him on the one single drink that I bought. All I did was sign the paper and when I went to walk away he had like a temper tantrum. I understand that its not great on my part if I’m being honest but I mean are you serious? What kind of reaction is that? They still charged me and everything. Is this service the kind of service that should be allowed and supported? I literally said nothing mean to the guy either. I’m honestly just more confused than anything about my experience there.

We waited for a long time for our food and drinks. They brought us the appetizers after the main dish. We ordered drinks and the waitress was just sitting there and doing nothing. The spaghetti was cut which shattered my heart. Would not recommend!

Very very roomy place. Loved the atmosphere. Loved the cocktails and the food. Great for a casual dinner or meeting with friends or even a date. I will definitely go back. Parking is a big issue there so be prepared to park in the nearby garages.

This place is the epitome of a disgusting Boston bar. The place smells like body odor and salami that has been left on the street for a month. The bartenders have the attitude of someone that’s on death row. The music selection is terrible: it’s like we’re stuck in the early 2000’s. I’ve been to bars all over the world and this place takes the cake for worst experience, worst service, worst smells, worst clientele, worst everything. I was here on a Saturday night. If you’re in Boston, stay far away from this place. This place is for trashy underage and college kids hoping to get laid.
