Waited about 10 minutes after being seated with no greeting, water, utensils, or napkin. No one checked on me during that time.
I was the only person I saw ordering food, which made the lack of attention stand out. The steak sandwich didn’t have much steak. The drink was good, but after ordering, no one came back to check on me.
The bartender eventually brought a napkin and apologized, and it was clearly understaffed. I understand that happens, but the lack of communication made the experience uncomfortable—especially as the only Black guest there. I considered walking out.

Did not try the food, had a couple of drinks which were ok and fairly priced. I visited during Halloween so it’s a completely different vibe than any other regular night, but music wise it’s one of the places in which I have had the most fun in the US. Old classics that were popular when my whole generation was too young to party but old enough to enjoy good music (97′), the ambience is very good but felt a little bit out of place given that most people attending were college kids, but got to talk briefly to a couple of them and they were very fun and welcoming. Would 100% recommend (I repeat, my experience was in Halloween night)

Every year my husbands company holds a holiday “after” party and Scholars is one of the 5 bars/restaurants we go to. Every year I make my way to scholars just for the crispy coconut shrimp. It’s by far the best I’ve ever had! I’m also not sure if it’s on their menu or not!

We got reservations for around 10 people the same day we were planning to visit. They called to confirm what kind of seating do we prefer. Parking in the area might be an issue. The place itself is very big, has pool table, small dance floor and good music. After 9, the place turns into a crowded bar with people dancing on the dance floor. Food and alcohol menu are limited but good food and drinks altogether. Definitely a place to go and chill with group of friends.

Oopsie! Forgot to take pics before slamming down my burger. It was very well made and to my liking. The caramalized onions were a perfect touch. They made the drinks strong which is exactly what I wanted. Only drawback I had was the water I had they didn’t refill. Other than that awesome quick service.

We recently hosted a team dinner here at scholars and were very impressed by both the service and food. The entire team enjoyed their drinks and the ability to choose from their menu. Our servers were very attentive to our large 20 person party and I will definitely be bringing the team back when we schedule another outing. Flank stank was great especially paired with a. Old fashioned.

Very very roomy place. Loved the atmosphere. Loved the cocktails and the food. Great for a casual dinner or meeting with friends or even a date. I will definitely go back. Parking is a big issue there so be prepared to park in the nearby garages.

My school has hosted here but I’ve never gone so I decided to check it out tonight because it looked quiet. It was quiet which was nice, it’s a Monday so that’s to be expected. It’s very nice inside, and decorated very nicely for Christmas. Hostess was nice and I sat at the bar and bartender was good too. I got the fried chicken sandwich, it was okay, it didn’t have much flavor and was hard to eat as a sandwich, but it was quite a big portion. Would love to go back again and try something different as they did have a lot of things on the menu that looked really good.
