Stumbled across this place while in from out of town. It had decent reviews so we decided to try it. The environment is warm and friendly. Food was excellent. I agree with other reviews, the location seems a bit out of place but I think it almost adds to the charm of it all. There is plenty of seating. Price was very reasonable. Definitely worth checking out.

The location is interesting and very pretty. Our waitress was wonderful, very attentive and went above and beyond to make our experience great. We had Jaeger schnitzel. That mushroom gravy is delicious! We ordered Reuben rolls for an appetizer and I highly recommend! The prices were very good. Next time we are in the area we will have to try them again!

Schnitzel Haus is an incredible dining experience and one of the best new restaurants in Cape. We went there for the first time today. There was no waiting. Beautiful Christmas music played in the background. The service was prompt and polite. The prices were extremely reasonable (well below $20 for a dinner sized meal). The best thing was the food. We had the Jagenshnitzel, which is a fried finely breaded LARGE pork cutlet. Since it filled a large plate, the two sides that came with it were on a separate plate. The sides were delicious and everything was perfectly seasoned. I had the sweet-sour red cabbage, which proved to be a somewhat delicate dish with the perfect amount of sweetness. We tried the appetizer roles with sour kraut, which were surprisingly good (neither one of us could taste the sour kraut. Everything was homemade.

Because the restaurant Turk Dawgs shares the same space, cooking facilities and owner(?), you can order from their creatively delicious hot dogs, burgers and selection of sides if American food is more to your liking. No matter what, there’s always something for everyone…which is why it’s our new favored place to take the family!

The restaurants are located inside the City Centre building. Seating is toward the back, in the big open space between the businesses. It’s actually very quiet and relaxing, especially with the music playing. With the quality of cooking and service, the size of the portions and low prices, it’s probably the best deal in Cape this season.

They’re open 11-3 Tues-Thurs, and 11-8 Fri-Sat

The location was random. I thought for sure the GPS was wrong. The restaurant sits in a courtyard of an office building. Beautiful courtyard though. The flavor of the schnitzel was really good. However, it had been posted so thin it was tough . The kraut bites and red cabbage were delish. Our waitress was really sweet and attentive.

The service was great. Atmosphere was non existent. My food was mixed. Two thumbs up for the potato pancakes and three thumbs up for the home made apple sauce. Fantastic! My schnitzel sandwich was good perhaps a little over done. The rye roll was very good. All in all a good experience.

My family went to dinner here last night. We all enjoyed the Wiener Schnitzel or the Jager Schnitzel. This was the best German food that we have had since our time in Germany 20 years ago.

I would love to have tried this place. Absolutely no signage outside the City Centre building let people know what is available inside. The parking lot was mostly empty during the lunch hour. So I didn’t stop. Didn’t know if I was in the right location. I wonder why? I’d be truly annoyed if my restaurant failed because the landlord to too cheap to provide a place for external signage to promote the businesses of its own renters.
I hope this business the best and hope they make it. They certainly aren’t getting any help from the building owners.
