My first visit to Schmity’s Old Mill Pub in Sciota, PA, was an absolute delight! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by Shelby, a veteran staff member who made me feel instantly welcome. It’s clear she takes pride in making newcomers feel at home.
The atmosphere at Schmity’s is fantastic – a fun, rustic vibe that’s incredibly inviting. The pub is always thoughtfully decorated for each holiday, adding to the charm. The rest of the staff were equally friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
The food was outstanding! I ordered the Pot Roast Kelly waffle fries, which were incredibly delicious and satisfying. The flavors were rich and comforting, and the portion size was perfect. I also shared an order of the parmesan garlic wings, and they were simply amazing! Perfectly cooked and seasoned, they were a definite highlight.
I highly recommend Schmity’s Old Mill Pub to anyone looking for great food, a warm atmosphere, and friendly service. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of their menu!

Traditional bar and grill in a neighborhood setting. Came in with my wife for lunch. I had a burger with waffle fries. She had a cheese steak and fries. We both had well poured Guinness beers. Service on the drinks was great. Food service was a bit slow. The burger was ok and the cheesesteak was good. There was one TV for college football. One for Horse Racing and the other for lottery games. The place also had an area for a band. I am sure the bar rocks under the right circumstances.

I remember now why we stopped going in … Overcharged every time, food was rushed chicken fingers can’t eat bc hard as a Rock chicken dried out . chicken bacon ranch wrap NO BACON …..was no friendly hello we were ignored then our greeting consisted of hey we close at 7 tonight.. not hey what can I get you… We used to go on the regular but never felt welcomed with the exception of 2 bartenders .. won’t allow me to add photos of the dried out chicken fingers

Great food, live music, lots of happy people, and friendly staff. Darts and other games. Crab dip appetizer was really good! Late night food. It’s worth checking out!

Open Mic experience!
Pic feat: Sage Clearing showed up randomly and rocked the house down with a surprise set. Definitely the best surprise.
Full disclosure, I’ve only been here for the open mic nights on Tuesdays.
Everyone around me says the food is delicious, but I’ve generally already eaten so cannot verify.
The service is very friendly and there is a pool table behind a little wall so it’s a little secluded from the rest of the bar which is nice.
They have a back patio which I can’t wait to see during the summer.
If you want to have a fun time, the open mic nights are on Tuesdays. I’ll come and sing a little ditty if I know it. Or maybe even if I don’t.

I liked the vibe of this place. The one bartender was beyond fabulous. She knew what was going on.
Late night food with a nice menu.
The wings were superb. Not a very interesting beer list, but it will do. Basically the standards.
The people here were playing up some tasteful music.
Everyone seemed to be having a good time without any moronic drunkenness.
I hope to stop in again and try more food.

Tried the 1/2 doz wings – Vermont Bkfst Flavor which is medium sauce, bacon and a hint of maple syrup. – Great flavor
Ordered the Cheeseburger Sliders – served as such. Patties are frozen but bread and burger were good. They were good but served without both lettuce and tomato. – might I recommend they atleast serve with chips as they come just burgers.
Also the burgers on menu state $8, but when I got the bill it was $8.95. might want to update.
Place is small and quaint. Exactly what we wanted while passing thru. I will definitely stop back.

Gave a one star due to no other choices.Three ppl orders = chicken wings & mozzarella sticks, panini w/ roasted reds and potabella muchrooms ,onion rings, 2 slider burgers. Panini was served first with overdone onion rings, 5 minutes later wings arrived, 3 minutes later slider burgers. We began to eat and finally mozzarella sticks arrived. Apon tasting my first bite of panini there was this taste, only to see the bottom of the panini was burnt but the properly toasted/grilled side was facing up, but this was the underside. The bartender was cheerful, but when shown the “Burnini” I was asked if I want to have another one made, at that point I said “no” I’m not wsiting that long for another one and had her give me a fork so I could peel off the underside bread so I could at least eat some lunch. Review of sliders = not good, review for returning to this locarion, “absolutely not”. Maybe a new chef is in order for this location.
