Schmackary’s has been a NYC cookie institution for ages, and I’m so excited that it’s come to Long Island!
The shop is adorably decorated, colorful, and bright, drawing you in to the enormous cookie display. The staff were all incredibly friendly, giving their recommendations and just chatting up and making us feel welcomed.
The cookies and treats are all really delicious. They’re a good balance of crispy outside with a softer chewy middle. They’re not too sweet, have a nice salt level to balance things out, and come in a great variety of flavors. My favorites were the Turtle and Peanut Butter Cup cookies, and you can’t go wrong with the classic chocolate chip.

I was lucky enough to snag an invite to the Yelp Elite Event for Schmackary’s. This cookie company has been in Manhattan but Albertson is their first Long Island location. I took my son with me, you would think a 9 year old would be all about free cookies but he just wanted to stay outside on the bench and play with his cell phone.
When I got in I got a free pass for my son and I to get a complimentary cookie and there were so many cookies laid out to sample as well as some samples of lattes they had. I do not know what kind of latte samples I drank, I just drank two like I was downing alcoholic shots and knew I liked them. I had a small piece of blueberry cobbler cookie offered to me that was delicious.
I got my free cookie and my son’s free cookie and I bought two extra cookies home to my dad and my sister. I got two caramel apple crisp cookies, one peanut butter cup and one chocolate chip. This morning I stress ate the peanut butter cup cookie on the way to work for breakfast because I was stressing about getting into work late, I was a minute late 🙁 It was good stress eating.
The staff was very friendly, I would be very happy working with cookies all day that must boost their friendliness factor up a little more.
I loved the design of the store and the art on the walls.
You have to come to Schmackary’s and eat some cookies, have a milk shake, get a coffee. It’s worth it.

Holy diabetic coma, Batman! These people did us right. We came in from out of state and just had to have their cookie cake, but they didn’t have it! Ugh… they gave us cookies to hold us over till they could make the cake the next day. The cookies were soo good. They were interesting flavors, and they all worked. It was a good mix of flavors and none were overwhelming. Not too soft, not hard & crispy. Now to the star… I think it was a confetti cookie that was perfectly drowning in the frosting. Not gonna lie, it’s sweet, but that’s what I’m going for in a dessert. I think we are picking another one up before heading back home.

It’s so nice to have a Schmackarys on Long Island, but besides the unique cookie flavors, it’s really awesome to see Long Island native Brenda pours her heart and soul into the business. She does so much for the community and it’s nice to see a franchisee make an impact. Also love their new lattes!

Schmackarys is awesome! I went in for the first time and was blown away! To learn about how much the owner gives back to the community and how incredibly sweet and helpful the staff is was just the icing on the cookie! We will for sure be back!

Great cookies! Definitely a must try. Fresh, soft, and chewy, and not too sweet like some other places. We tried the buckeye moonpie, oatmeal, scotchie, caramel apple crisp, cookies & cream, dulce de leche, and sch’mores. Favorite was oatmeal scotchie and caramel apple crisp.
Also tried a PB&J blondie- fantastic!!!

C is for cookies, coffee, customer service, and care. The Schmackary’s Albertson location is all about all of this. And I need to give a special shout out to Sage for the amazing service she provided. The delivery, the extra care and personal attention is what customer care is all about. And cookies…the cookies are simply amazing! It’s too bad I can only give 5 starts because they deserve so many more.
