Gluten-free goodness!
This restaurant on Wadley made me a Deluxe Original on a gluten-free bun today. They were fast, and polite, and handed me my meal with a smile.
Schlotzsky’s was one of the earliest fast food restaurants to give us celiacs a wheat-free option on their sandwiches. Because I didn’t trigger celiac until I was in my late thirties, I remember how great their freshly-made wheat buns were, and even though the gluten-free bun I had is made by a reliable company — Udi’s — it will never be as tasty as Schlotzsky’s wheat buns, but it’s still good. As far as I know the meats and cheeses are all safe, and I know they’re trained to avoid cross-contamination, but they are a bakery so flour may get in the air, and a careless worker could put mayo on a wheat bun and then your Udi’s bun using the same implement, so always ask about their procedures. I try not to take the risk too often, but it is such a treat, and I haven’t gotten sick from any of my rare visits yet.

Great healthy fast food option here in midland. Lots of Salads and sandwiches to choose from. Nice clean dining area. Great parking area.

Friendly & capable staff. I’ve loved Schlotzsky’s since I was a child. Despite the inevitable changes over the decades, Schlotzsky’s is still a unique fast food chain, & still pretty tasty.

Not a big fan if this place myself but my coworkers love it. Usually the sandwiches are pretty good and the staff is very nice. I think if I find a sandwich I truly enjoy, I will love it even more.

I ordered the original large… It’s been a long time. I was super excited. I paid $23 for a meal. They forgot my chips. The bun was not even browned. I didn’t enjoy my lunch at all. Was gonna call in a complaint. But threw away my receipt.

The staff gave over and above service. My companion has a VIP membership app. We were definitely treated as VIPs our food was great. One mistake on the order but it was rectified quickly and fully. Highly recommend

Didn’t have a line but I came in around 10am, but where they weren’t busy it did take a little longer to get my items. Other than that I love their pick to especially since it is only $9.20 with taxes. Downside drinks are EXPENSIVE! They start at 2.19.

I usually go to the schlotskys on Andrew’s hwy and my pizza always comes out good. Unfortunately I was closer to the one on wadley so I stopped there. My pizza looked like it was not completely done the crust was soft and the cheese was not fully melted so I had to put it in my toaster oven to get the crust crispy and the cheese fully melted. Now I know to always go to the one on Andrew’s hwy
