We came all the way from Norfolk, Va since our 2 locations shut down years ago and new bern was our closest location . I’ve missed their food so much and it didn’t disappoint ! Our sandwiches and soups were hot and fresh and the customer service was great! The bathrooms were very clean as well as the inside . All supplies for dine in customers were stocked and the dining area was clean. We’ll be coming back soon ! Thanks Schlotzsky’s ❤️

The food was nothing to brag about. I got the #1 but, ill stick to making my own sandwich with london broil roast beef or just buy a Italian sub from Publix ect …

Slow pace, southern charm, friendly, family fast (but slow) food service. If you’re looking for old fashioned charm here you go. Don’t come in a rush as this cute place has workers talking and having a good time, while they take time to make you great food. Some might get upset with the slow pace and some appreciate this friendly and calm southern environment with smiles.

11/5 at 5:51 pm. Ordered drive thru. Sat in the car waiting. No one in the restuarant, no one behind me in the drive thru. Saw my sandwich sitting on the cutting board thru the window. After 10 minutes and no action from the employees I drove to the front door. I went in the deli and asked the two gentlemen working what they were doing? They realized I was the guy that 18 minutes earlier was sitting at the drive thru. I told them to give me my money back! KEEP the sandwich because its cold and I have no idea where your hands have been the past 20 minutes.
I then told them to start looking for a new job in the morning because the deli is empty, no one is at the drive thru and your the reason why. One gentleman reran my credit card but didn’t know if it would refund me or not because he’d never done it before. They said they were short staffed and I asked why they weren’t on the phone with a manager or the owner? I left hungry and very disappointed at the deli, staff, management and especially the OWNER! Good luck with your futures.

First time here. I got a Greek salad, was very fresh and tasty. Hubby got pastrami sandwich. Both were yummy! Will definitely go again.

Schlotzsky’s the never let you down meat sandwich, every single time I’ve been here I’ve never been surprised at the size of their sandwiches. As you all know if you go to schlotzsky’s the kind of pricing for the combo meals I paid $13 for what you’re about to see. And the funny thing about our schlotzsky’s it actually looks like it’s closed but on this particular day I happen to see a car going through the drive-thru window and I wondered if they weren’t open so I actually made a u-turn to go and patronize them to my surprise a young lady came over the intercom and asked could she help me. So my recommendation to swanski’s make yourself look open. Because I’ve been driving by there for months and could not determine out whether or not you were open.

On this trip we each had the deluxe original. The owner gave us a lot of history of schlotzsky’s where it started when it started. Was very interested in speaking with him.

Try the Smokecheezy sandwiches!! Schlotzky’s never disappoints. Clean and simple atmosphere. Plenty of seating for large groups. You will not leave hungry!!
