If you’re in the new Madison area this place is an excellent choice for any party looking to have a good meal when we were there there were children there were adults there were grandparents and possibly even great-grandparents it is a Tavern setting but it’s an excellent environment for a good family meal and if you’re there during the Linton season the all you can eat fish is a guarantee great bargain

This little place is a gem in a small town. Locally owned and operated by long time New Madison residents. Today at lunch it was quite, and order was taken quickly. I ordered the marinated tenderloin sandwich at the recommendation of another nearby customer and the staff (owner). It didn’t disappoint and for $13 total lunch bill (with a side/drink), it was a super value. In and out in less than 30 min, it’s a great lunch spot.

First time. The bartender was very kind when we didn’t know if we sat ourselves. Pick a seat and they will come to you.
We took the recommendation of pizza and it was amazing. 2 beers, a soda, boneless wings, jalapeno poppers and a pizza. $50. Super friendly and would come again if we were in the area!

Ordered Chef Salad $9.00 literally recieved a Dinner sized Salad masquerading as a Chef’s Salad. (NO JOKE SMALLEST CHEF SALAD I’VE EVER SEEN!)
Total RIP off. I’d bet $100 the owner puts two together for their dinner. lol
Still hungry I ordered 10 piece fried shrimp $10.00 literally seen larger Popcorn Shrimp. I was ashamed for them. I know times are rough but don’t screw people. Went to another Restaurant few days later called Katz’s Pizza in Verona, Ohio ordered Chef Salad and had a little trouble eating the whole Chef Salad due to it’s large delicious size. It was $7.95 I know where I’m going from now on. I told owner I would have gladly paid another $2.00 for theirs and shared my experience from Schlechty’s, so Shame on Schlechty’s!
