This place has a cool atmosphere with nice staff, but the food left something to be desired. We had a large party and 6 of us had pasta dishes, we all had the same complaints, the pasta was very overcooked causing it to be really soft and almost mushy. The linguine and clam sauce was so loaded with butter it was basically all you could taste. Shrimp scampi was also just crushed with butter you also couldn’t taste anything but. Two orders of steamed clams actually came out cold, like cold to the point they weren’t even cooked. Food looked better than it tasted, we probably wouldn’t go back

I have seen this restaurant many times while growing but when you have a family of picky eaters, seafood is rarely on the menu. Finally! I get older and I am able to eat wherever I want and the magical decorations on the outside drew me in.
I really enjoyed my time here overall between the service, drinks and food. The only drawback here is the price because there really are more fish in the sea and Schellengers doesn’t make a huge effort in separating themselves from their competition. I loved the fried flounder but I’ve just had better for cheaper. The clams casino was really good and although it was a bit different than what I’m used to, I really liked the filling on top.
If you’re looking something a little fancier to take the family or a date to than I highly recommend Schellengers, just know it will not be a cheap endeavor.

Great place to go when you want good seafood at the beach the staff is great. It’s just they are so busy and it takes a little time for quality food to cook be cooked so you will have to wait for your meal. Otherwise everything is amazing at this place and should be a stop when you travel.

I have lived in wildwood over six years and always wondered what this place had to offer. I finally tired it out during restaurant week. It was a great idea to check this place out. They had a $40 option for restaurant week. That $40 option included one appetizer, soup or salad, entree and a dessert. The appetizers had I believe four total to choose from. The salad was just regular house salad. Entrees had maybe 5 different types. The dessert was either cheesecake or ice cream. I wish there was more to choose when it came to the desserts. But over all the options were decent for just $40. The portions for everything were bigger then I thought they would be. Biggest plates on the island as they advertise. The food came out quickly but they mixed up our order. Instead of shrimp it was chicken but it was quickly fixed. I order a house margarita and that was a bit gross. I enjoy a nice margarita on the rocks but this tasted like sour mix. I order twenty four piece spicy shrimp as the appetizer. Nothing about this was spicy. It tasted like it had some old bay seasoning on it. They also were a little hard to peel. The salad was just a regular house salad with way to my onions and one cherry tomato. For the entree I ordered salmon with rice. Overall that was very tasty. Great size portion for an entree. The decorations inside might be a little dated but it fits the theme of the place. The music was at the very level. Place itself was clean. I would go back again to try another entree. Everything on the menu was priced very reasonable.

Schellenger’s is always a great place for seafood in Wildwood. The service was great, the crab chowder was creamy and tasty. The scallops were delicious with garlic mash and asparagus.

We had a large family party of 14 celebrating Father’s day weekend on a Saturday night! We tried calling to make a reservation, but no one answered. So we walked-in and it was about a 20 minute wait for seating us. Service was excellent and the food was fresh and tasted good! We all enjoyed our meals and even the kids liked theirs too! Definitely a great place to eat at!

We waited a bit longer than expected to even be acknowledged by a server but after advising the hostess, the server came right over and was excellent. The food was great. We had the lobster feast, calamari appetizer, and fried shrimp with fries basket. We enjoyed the food very much and will be back. Good sized portions.
