We went another time and it was better! The food was great and the waiter was awesome! I went another time and had an equally good experience.
Last night was again great! I’m glad I gave this restaurant another chance because I typically don’t.

Great food. The calamari needed some extra salt and pepper. But over all the food was really good. We were a large party and ordered several different items. The atmosphere was very coastal. The waterside dining, boats coming and going right at the dock made for a great night out. I didn’t get food pics this time. Next time I’ll take some food pics, because I will be back.

1st time visit. We sat on the air conditioned deck. The silverware and glasses were excellent.
Now for the food. I orderedthr broiled mahi-mahi and French fries. It was seasoned and broiled perfectly. My wife ordered the coconut shrimp with onion rings. They were outstanding. I can totally recommend the food. Service was excellent, no waiting and they we’re attentive.

It’s a little hard to find at night if you’re from out of town; the parking lot is very small and now well marked. Seemed like a busy, popular local spot. The food was good but very overpriced. The servers were good, but the hostesses could be more professional.

Our celebration was awesome! The wait staff could not have been kinder and more helpful, and our large party upstairs was treated with the utmost care and consideration. The food was excellent, well prepared and beautifully plated, and the drinks were generous. But the stars were absolutely the wait staff, and a huge reason this celebration came back to Schafer’s. Thanks to all who made our party a huge success!

Probably my favorite restaurant in the area. The food is consistently amazing. I try to try new things but the snapper pontchartrain is by far my favorite and I get it almost every single time. They have really good lunch specials and a decent wine list. We love Fabian as our server as well as all of the other staff.

My husband and I decided to check this place out for a date night. Let me tell you we will be back again soon. The staff were all friendly and attentive. But the food and drinks exceeded any expectations we thought we had. I highly recommend getting the Crab cake. We got it as an appetizer and it set the bar high for our entrees. My husband got the Prime Pork Ribeye and it was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. I got the Blackened Lemon Pepper chicken and it was the juiciest chicken ever.
We will definitely be back again and look forward to trying other items on the menu.

Went for the ribeye special. Worse steak I have ever had. It was cooked correctly to order but extremely chewy and flavorless. The sides were good as the spicy mac and cheese was very good and the brussel sprouts were good. Neither could make up for the horrible ribeye.
